SOL Boys/Girls Cross Country Wrap (9-17-16)

BRIARWOOD INVITATIONAL (at Belmont Plateau)
North Penn finished second in the Girls Championship race with 52 points while Central Bucks West was third (55 points) and Neshaminy finished fifth in the five-team field. North Penn junior Ariana Gardizy finished first with a time of 19:46.
In the Division 1 Girls (large schools), Central Bucks East finished first out of 14 teams with 34 points. Hatboro-Horsham was fourth (160 points) and Abington also competed in that division. Abington Kelly Jawork finished first in the individual standings with a time of 20:35.
In the Boys Championship division, Council Rock North finished fourth out of 10 teams with 109 points. Central Bucks West finished fifth (121 points), and William Tennent (135 points) was sixth. Neshaminy also competed in the championship race in eighth place. Neshaminy junior Rusty Kujdych was the top SOL finisher in third place with a time of 16:16.
Central Bucks East finished first out of 17 teams in the Division 1 Boys (large schools) with 40 points. Hatboro-Horsham was fourth with 142 points. Upper Dublin and Abington finished 10th and 11th respectively. David Endres was the top SOL finisher, capturing second with a time of 17:12 behind only Haverford’s James Abrahams (16:57).
In the Division 2 Boys (small schools), Cheltenham finished third out of 12 teams, finishing behind Haddonfield and Holy Ghost Prep with 89 points.

64TH Annual George School Invitational
The Council Rock North girls’ squad finished fifth out of 20 teams. Upper Moreland and Bensalem also competed in the invitational.
On the boys’ side, Bensalem finished fifth out 18 teams with 152 points. Upper Moreland was 12th.
