BOYS
PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 14, UPPER MERION 6
Alex Savarese had a huge game for the Colonials, scoring seven goals and assisting on three others. Jake Kelly and Kenny Diamond each had three goals. Kelly also had one assist. Vinny Martina added one goal and one assist. Zack Zygmunt had a hand in four goals, handing out four assists. Brendan Sullivan added one assist.
The neighboring rivals battled to a 3-3 tie after one quarter, and the Colonials took a 7-5 lead into halftime. They owned the second half, outscoring the Vikings 7-1 to win going away.
Plymouth Whitemarsh (6-2, 6-1 SOL) will host Wissahickon next Tuesday, and Upper Merion (3-6, 3-4) will be on the road at Archbishop Carroll on Saturday.

UPPER DUBLIN 27, NORRISTOWN 0
Seventeen players got into the scoring column in Wednesday’s shutout of the Eagles.
Michael Sowers handed out seven assists and scored a pair of goals, and Michael Mullin (four goals, two assists), Max Winebrake (five goals, two assists) and Jed Hanson (three goals, two assists) also had big games.
Also making offensive contributions were Colin Asper (two goals, one assist), Jerry Bardol (one goal, three assists), Michael Gillen (one goal, one assist) and Cary Romig (two goals). Adding one goal were Ben Abel, Evan Scott, Ryan Templeton, Conor Wall, Jack Rapine, Tommy Pertrucci and Isaiah Henrich. Sanjay Foster had a pair of assists while Nick Vernacchio added one assist.
Rapine led the Cardinals with 10 ground balls while Michael Gillen and Henry Winebrake had four each. Sean Bowers had two caused turnovers.
Rapine won 12-of-13 face-offs, Henry Winebrake won 9-of-10 and Kevin Chung, 7-of-8.
Dillon Lojeski was credited with one save in the shutout.
Upper Dublin (8-0, 7-0 SOL) will host Cheltenham on Wednesday, and Norristown (1-6, 1-5) will host Oxford.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 17, ARCHBISHOP WOOD 7
Brendan Patterson, Brandon Follis and Peter Mignacca each connected for a hat trick to lead the Golden Hawks to the no-doubt-about-it non-league win. Jared Gambino had a pair of goals while Joe Scannapieco, Conor Simpson, Justin Starkman and Evan Gutman each added one goal.
The Hawks led 3-1 after one quarter and seized control with a 6-1 second quarter to go into halftime with a 9-2 lead on their way to the decisive win.
Council Rock South (5-4, 2-1 SOL) will face archrival Council Rock North on Friday.

GIRLS
COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 13, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 7
Rock North won the annual battle between the neighboring rivals, rebounding from a heartbreaking loss to Souderton in the closing seconds 24 hours earlier.
Devon Mela and Claire Jarema both scored five goals to lead the Indians. Sabrina Green added two while Anna Lehman had a goal and assist. 
"Devon (Mela) did a great job of controlling the draws," Rock North coach coach Krista Dayton-Ventresca said. "South had an interesting crease roll play that they scored off of several times, but the defense did a good job of figuring it out.
"The North/South game always carries a lot of emotional weight; it was a good win at a good time." 
For the Golden Hawks, Hannah Inchausti scored a pair of goals while Neena Culleton, Anna DiDonato, Mary Kate Simpson and Paige Schmid each added one goal. Sarah Womer had a pair of assists.
Rock South goalie Chloe Wszolek was credited with four saves.
“Today was a tough loss, and we made some mistakes, but overall, we played well,” Rock South coach Ashley Fox said. “I am proud that we had six different girls scoring goals today.
“Paige Schmid stepped up in the midfield today with multiple caused turnovers, and Steph Jin came up with crucial ground balls and draw controls. Tori Wright also stepped up huge for our team today by limiting one of their best players to only one goal.”
Council Rock North (3-2, 3-1 SOL) will host Neshaminy on Thursday, and Council Rock South (2-5, 1-3) will host North Penn.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 14, CHELTENHAM 4
Ali Diamond scored five goals while senior Monica Dresnin had five assists to go along with three goals. Maddie Berman had two goals and one assist, and Victoria Betterly added one goal and one assist. Sophie Kolkka, Lilly Hanson and Lex Petrakis each scored one goal.
For the Lady Panthers, Marycait Dorley had two goals and one assist, and Dana Shelton and Tylar Marren both added a single goal. Carly Waldman had one assist. Dana Shelton led the Panthers with five ground balls, and Waldman had four draw controls.
Coach Didi Dean credited Amber and Jade Turner for turning in great defensive performances. Cheltenham goalie Morgan Sloan was credited with eight saves.
Plymouth Whitemarsh (6-2, 3-0 SOL) will host Springfield on Thursday, and Cheltenham (4-4, 0-3) will host Upper Moreland on Thursday.

ABINGTON 25, NORRISTOWN 2
Just about everyone got a piece of the action in Wednesday’s decisive win that saw the Ghosts roll to a 14-1 halftime lead.
Lauren Van Buren filled a stat line with two goals, four assists, one caused turnover, one ground ball and two draw controls. Sam McGee had three goals, one assist and three draw controls, Kaley Enhow had three goals, one assist and one caused turnover, and Abby Thomas contributed three goals, two ground balls and one draw control. Sam Simon had two goals, one assist, two caused turnovers and one draw control, and Mikki Raymond had two assists, one caused turnover and five draw controls. Maddie Sjoholm had one goal, one assist and four draw controls. Cathy Staerk added two goals, one assist and two draw controls, and Hecka Morris had one goal, one assist and one draw control.
Casey McCalister contributed two assists and one caused turnover, Lindsay Baer added two goals and one draw control, and Anna Joseph had one goal and one caused turnover. Jules Greco had one assist and one draw control, Jordan Campbell added one goal and one ground ball, and Kirsten Pedicone had one caused turnover and one ground ball. Contributing one goal each were Haley Turner, Becca Gable, Sam Raymond and Riley Campbell.
Micaela Murcar was credited with three saves in goal for the Ghosts.
Abington (9-1, 4-0 SOL) will face Villa Maria Academy Saturday in a non-league game at the Katie Samson Festival at Radnor High School. Norristown (1-9, 0-4) will host Perkiomen Valley in a non-league contest on Friday.
