Boys

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 10, DOWNINGTOWN EAST 6
The Patriots held the Cougars scoreless in the first half and controlled the tempo and the game. East took a 4-0 lead into halftime and led 6-3 heading into the final period.
Five Patriots finished the game with two goals each – Matt Milici (two assists), Matt Schmidt, Matt Heim (one assist), Matt Vetter (two assists) and Dustin Buchanan (one assist).
Buchanan, Tyler Butler, Mike Eveland and Will Dempster each had four ground balls. Heim was credited with three ground balls. Buchanan and Butler both had two caused turnovers. Eveland and Dempster both had one caused turnover.
Andrew DelBracco won 10 of 20 face-offs, and goalie Sean McGovern turned away 13 shots.
The Patriots, who improved to 3-1 overall (1-0 SOL), will travel to Hatboro-Horsham on Monday night for a key SOL contest.

SOUDERTON 8, NEW HOPE SOLEBURY 5
Cameron Trick scored five goals to lead the Indians in Saturday’s non-league win. Nick Anderson had a pair of goals, and Trent Breneman added a single goal to close out the scoring for the Indians, who improved to 3-2.

RIDLEY 7, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 5
The Bucks and Green Raiders were deadlocked 2-2 after one period, but the Raiders took a 5-4 lead into halftime and then held the Bucks scoreless in the third quarter. Ridley outscored West 2-1 in the second half to earn the non-league win.
Ryan Green and Lucas Janos each scored a pair of goals for the Bucks. Corey Schott added a goal and an assist. Green, Jimmy Seykot and Reece Udinski each had an assist.
Ridley held a 21-20 edge in shots. West goalie Mike Harvan was credited with 11 saves in goal.

Girls

ABINGTON 14, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 10
Gabi Rosenfeld had a big day for the Golden Hawks, scoring seven goals. Nikki Boyd, Neena Culleton and Mollie Sheehy each added one goal. Claire Quist was credited with 13 saves in a strong performance in goal.
The Ghosts improved to 2-1 after Saturday’s non-league win over the Golden Hawks.

WISSAHICKON 15, RIDLEY 9
The Trojans opened up a 10-6 halftime lead en route to their first win of the season on Saturday. Lauren Irvine (five goals, one assist), Christina Tsiobikas (four goals) and Zoe Gomez (three goals, one assist) led the way for the Trojans.
Freshman Caroline Wilde had a team high six ground balls while Irvine added four. Trojan goalie Julie Silverman was credited with 11 saves.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 11, EMMAUS
Julia Norek scored five goals, and teammate Maggie Stella collected the hat trick to lead the Patriots to their third win of the young season. Alex Law scored two goals, and Katelyn Sout added one while Betty Wesney and Lauren Burrell each had an assist. Alana Rivas was credited with six saves in goal for the Patriots, who upped their record to 3-1.
