CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 6, EAST STROUDSBURG 0
The Patriots blew open a close game with five second half goals.
“At this point in the year, as young as almost everybody is, we start a freshman and five sophomores,” coach Mike Gorni said. “It’s very different and we’re learning. I don’t know if that is the way we’ll be a week from now.
“We had some adjustments. We played Ryan Gleason up top to start, and we brought him back into his normal center midfield role in the second half, and in all honesty, we just controlled the midfield better in the second half and shot a little bit better.
“The game was more competitive in the first half. We scored in the first two minutes of both halves. We have a long way to go. It’s a long season, but it’s always good to come out with a win.”
Evan Vare (two goals, two assists) and Ryan Gleason (two goals, one assist) led the Patriots’ attack. Kyle Clow (one assist) and Brian Morehouse each added a single goal to close out the scoring.
