CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 15, PENNRIDGE 4

The defending SOL Continental Conference champion Patriots opened their season Tuesday with an impressive road win over the Rams. Matt Vetter had a monster night to lead the attack, contributing five goals and assisting on five others. Ryan Brown added three goals and one assist, and Logan Nelson had a pair of goals. Contributing single goals were Matt Brown Nick Yerkes, Owen Griffin, Dustin Buchanan and Brad Walentukonis.
Jack Auteri won 12-of-14 face-offs for the Patriots, and freshman Michael Ott won 5-of-6 face-offs. Dustin Buchanan led the Patriot defense with six ground balls and three forced turnovers.
East goalie Sean McGovern was credited with six saves.

UPPER DUBLIN 19, NORRISTOWN 1
Fourteen players got into the scoring column for the Flying Cardinals. Michael Mullen had five goals to lead the way while Max Winebrake added two goals and three assists. Jerry Bardol had two goals and an assist, and Michael Sowers and Evan Scott each had one goal and two assists. Nicholas Vernacchio, Ben Abel both and Kutai all had a goal and an assist. Hanson connected for the hat trick.
Contributing one goal for the Cardinals were Henry Winebrake and D’Andria. Jack Rapine chipped in with two assists while Connor Wall and Nash Potts each had one.
Justin Byrd accounted for the Eagles’ only goal. That came in the third period after the Cardinals had opened up a 17-0 halftime lead.
Bobby McPeak, Sean Bauers and Dillon Lojeski combined to make four saves while Myers had nine for the Eagles.

UPPER MERION 14, CHELTENHAM 1
The Vikings picked up their second league win in as many days Tuesday, opening up a 2-0 lead after one quarter and taking an 8-0 lead into halftime on their way to the big win.
The Panthers scored their only goal in the third quarter when Antonio Ringgold found the net. Cheltenham goalie David Friedman was credited with nine saves.

Eric Kauffman scored a pair of goals to lead the Trojans to a win over the Spartans in Tuesday’s SOL opener.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 17, NORTH PENN 2

Doylestown, PA:  The Central Bucks South Titans boys lacrosse team defeated the visiting SOL Continental rival North Penn Knights 17-2 at frigid War Memorial Field on Tuesday night.  The Titans enjoyed prolific scoring and outstanding defense throughout the contest. 
FOGO Ryan Jacobsen had an outstanding night at the X and was instrumental in getting the offense started as the Titans raced out to a 9-0 lead before the Knights got on the board in the third quarter.  The attack tandem of Brendan McGrath (6 goals/3 assists) and Chris Tanner (5 goals/, 2 assists) with strong offensive performances by Dillon Kelly and Evan Falkowski (2 goals each) proved to be a potent combination the Knights could not overcome. 
The defense was led by goalie Robbie Richick who recorded 14 saves, including several point-blank stops.  Fleet-footed defenseman Kevin Witchey led the team in ground balls (5).  Other standout performances from Matt LoStrocco and Jamie Renneisen capped the one-sided game.  With the win, Central Bucks South improves to 2-0 (1-0 SOL Continental).  The Titans take on Hatboro Horsham on Friday night at Hatters stadium.

The HH Boys Lacrosse Team kicked off its 2015 season last night with a league win over Souderton.  It was a great team effort with contributions by Pierre Armstrong (4 goals, 1 assist), Conor McPoyle (4 goals), Chris Hammel (2 goals), Tony Zollo (1 goal), Owen Winters (1 goal) and Kurt Dick (7 saves).
The Hatters play again tonight vs. Abington in the stadium at 5:30.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 8, UPPER MORELAND 5
Austin Betterly connected for the hat trick while Pat McGrath and Jake Kelly each added a pair of goals. Brendan Sullivan chipped in with one goal for the Colonials, who opened their SOL season with a win Tuesday.

WEST CHESTER EAST 20, UPPER MERION 14
Julie Reinert had another big game for the Vikings, scoring six goals to lead the attack. She also won eight of the team’s draw control battles. Also scoring for the Vikings were Haley O’Malley, Quinn O’Malley and Francesca Lindelow with two goals each. Anna Davis and Allison Shuster each added one goal.
Jordan Cabahug-Almonte faced 31 shots and turned away 11 for the Vikings (0-2).
