63rd ANNUAL GEORGE SCHOOL INVITATIONAL
Pennsbury senior Olivia Sargent posted a 17:53 at the George School Invitational, not only finishing 22 seconds ahead of her closest competitor to capture the individual title but also posting the state’s fastest time in the 5000 meters so far. The Falcons placed seven runners in the top 12 to run away with the team title in the 19-team invitational.
Sargent and teammates Hannah Molloy, Mary Webb, Meridith Twomey, Maddie Sauer and Bailey Balmer turned in performances that met the national silver standard.
On the boys’ side, Bensalem senior Rahi Shah captured sixth place. Upper Dublin finished fourth in the team standings while Bensalem was fifth in the 18-team event.

BRIARWOOD INVITATIONAL
The SOL put on a strong showing at the Briarwood Invitational. Central Bucks East senior Jake Brophy walked away with top honors in the Boys’ Championship while Central Bucks West senior Rock Fortna was second. Both of their performances met the national silver standard. CB West captured the team title.
In the Division I boys’ large school race, Souderton senior Connor McMenamin finished second, and William Tennent was the top SOL team finisher with its second place finish. In the Division 2 boys’ small school race, Cheltenham – the only SOL school in the race - finished fourth out of 18 teams. The Panthers top finishers were Will Griffen (19th, 18:02) and Wolfgang Schanbacher (20th, 18:02).
On the girls’ side, Central Bucks West senior Maddie Villalba finished second overall in the Girls’ Championship, and the Bucks finished third as a team. In the Division 2 girls’ large school race, Hatboro-Horsham (125 points) was the top SOL finisher in sixth place while Neshaminy (229) and William Tennent (270) were eighth and 10th respectively.
