30th Annual Council Rock Invitational
Council Rock South’s Joe McGuire finished first in Saturday’s Council Rock Invitational at Tyler State Park, posting a time of 16:02.65 to edge Central Bucks West’s Brian Mass (16:02.94). Central Bucks West won the boys title with 49 points, and Council Rock North was second (87 points).

On the girls’ side, Council Rock South (86 points) edged Pennridge (88 points) for the team title. Wissahickon senior Lotte Black, who finished third, was the top SOL finisher.

9th PIAA Foundation Cross Country Invitational
Central Bucks East senior Jake Brophy topped a field of 219 runners at the PIAA Foundation Cross Country Invitational at Hershey on Saturday, posting a time of 15:53 to defeat Peters Township senior Nick Wolk by 16 seconds. The Patriots also posted the top team finish of SOL schools participating, finishing sixth in the 32-team field. Finishing ahead of the Patriots were North Allegheny, La Salle, Mount Lebanon, Owen J Roberts and State College. Pennsbury (ninth place), Quakertown (16th), Bensalem (22nd) and Upper Merion (29th) also participated.
On the girls’ side, Central Bucks East finished fourth out of 26 participating teams, behind Perkiomen Valley, North Allegheny and State College. Upper Merion, which finished 13th, and Bensalem also participated. CB East’s Tate Dawson (8th place) and Hannah Morris (10th place) had top 25 finishes in the field of 188 runners.

Six Flags Wild Safari Invitational
Souderton senior Connor McMenamin topped a field of 143 runners at Saturday’s Six Flags Wild Safari Invitational, posting a time of 15:41 to finish 31 seconds ahead of Massapequa’s Aiden Smith (16:12). His time was two seconds off the course record and is the #4 time in the entire state this year. The Indians finished 11th out of 19 teams.

On the girls’ side, North Penn captured the team title in the 5k and had the event’s first, second and third place finishers. Ariana Gardizy (1st, 19:02), Phoebe Clowser (2nd, 19:12) and Olivia Dyer (3rd, 19:15) all turned in performances that met the national silver standard. Rebecca Wilson (14th, 20:36) and Jenna Webb (22nd, 21:01) also finished in the top 25 out of 122 runners.

23rd Carlisle Invitational
The Upper Dublin girls’ team finished fourth out of 34 teams at Saturday’s Carlisle Invitational in the Champions 5000m run. Finishing in the top 50 out of 218 runners were Sarah Smith (15th, 20:05), Madelyn Spaulding (31st, 20:40), Saddie Gustafson (32nd, 20:41) and Emily Stewart (49th, 21:10).

On the boys’ side, Upper Dublin finished seventh out of 36 teams. Top 50 finishes in the field of 259 runners were Riley Hannon (19th, 17:13), Troy Green (29th, 17:30) and Danny Michels (46th, 17:49)
