Interceptions:  * Ahkemma Evans (5).   Pennsbury Head Coach Galen Snyder says:
“Coatesville is a very talented team that has quite a few Division One recruits, and (the Raiders) are very well coached.  You don’t get to be 13-0 without being an excellent football team.  They have built quite a reputation in recent years as being one of the best programs in District One.  We are going to have to limit the things that they do well – and we have to continue to go out and do the things that we do best.  Charles Snorweah and our offensive line have played great the last few weeks – and our defense and special teams have made big plays.”
Coatesville Head Coach Matt Ortega says:

“Pennsbury is an extremely physical team that has a terrific offensive line and (Charles) Snorweah is a very special running back.  We can’t really expect to stop him – but we have to find a way to slow him down.  Pennsbury might be one-dimensional – but it doesn’t matter.  Nobody has been able to stop that running game all year – whether they run the ‘Wing-T’ or the ‘I’.  We have to go out and play our best offensive game – we really haven’t played four good quarters offensively all year.  We might have to do that to beat Pennsbury.”

Quakertown * Rob Burns * Alec Vera * Hunter Nice
Pennridge Head Coach Jeff Hollenbach says:

“The only way I can define playing Quakertown back-to-back games is weird.  The last game was a very tough loss for us against Quakertown, and the kids were down emotionally right after the game.  But I know that as time went by we will put that behind us and be ready to play on Thanksgiving.  To me, this is a game for the seniors.  It is their last chance to play a high school football game, and it is a great opportunity for them.  We had a good game plan when we played them the first time – we tweaked it a little – and it should be fun for both the players and the community.”
Quakertown Head Coach George Banas says:
“The players on our team are sky high for the game.  This is the week we have spirit week – the bonfire – and all the kids are back from college to see the game.  I must have seen our film with Pennridge at least five times – and we are still breaking down what each team did well.  Playing them before knocks down the preparation a little bit, but I’m sure both teams are going to come up with some things the other team hasn’t seen.  It should be a great game.”

Hatboro-Horsham Hatters (3-8) @ Upper Moreland Golden Bears (7-4)

Upper Moreland: The Golden Bears finished the season as the third place finisher in the Suburban One League American Conference with a record of 4-3 * Upper Moreland was jettisoned from the PIAA Class AAA District One playoffs in a 37-7 loss to Bishop Shanahan * signature wins came over Bishop Egan (35-28), Archbishop Carroll (35-17), and Wissahickon (44-21) * losses came against Cheltenham (28-21), Plymouth Whitemarsh (33-20), and Upper Dublin (28-7).

Players To Watch:

Hatboro-Horsham:  Casey Walsh * John O’Malley * Charlie Obrecht
Upper Moreland:  Tyler Whitmore * Josh Abrams * Colton Hooker
Hatboro-Horsham Head Coach Michael Kapusta says:
“With the long layoff, we had to get away from hitting – rested up – and hit the weights.  We gave them a couple of days off to get a mental reprieve from football – it is a long season.  Upper Moreland beat us pretty easily the first time we played them, and both the players and coaches have spent a lot of time looking at the film.  The last few days we got back to hitting – lifting – and looking at a lot of film.  We get a chance to redeem ourselves, and the players are always excited for this game.”
Upper Moreland Head Coach Adam Beach says:
“This is the final game for our seniors in their career – and they will remember this game for the rest of their lives.  We teach the kids the history of the game and how important it is to the community.  We lost the last game we played (in the Class AAA playoffs by a 37-7 score against Bishop Shanahan), and this game gives us a chance to end the season with a win.  Hatboro-Horsham is a much better football team than the one we played earlier in the season.  We will have a huge crowd – and the game people in the community will always remember is the Thanksgiving Day game.”

Players To Watch:
Cheltenham: Greg Morris * Brandon Mack * Antonio Mumford
Abington: Juawine Sowell * Daron Boone * David Kretscham
Cheltenham Head Coach Joe Gro says:

“Playing football on Thanksgiving is a neat tradition.  I grew up in Springfield Delaware County, and we always played Marple Newtown on Thanksgiving.  I’ve been going to games since the fifth grade.  The first time we beat Abington on Thanksgiving – I could have been elected Mayor of Cheltenham.  It is great for the kids and great for the community – it will be a great day.”
Abington Head Coach Tim Sorber says:
“The last few years we have been in the playoffs, and the gap between those games and the Thanksgiving game wasn’t too long.  We didn’t make the playoffs this year – and it will be a very long time between games for us.  This is always a huge game for the players and the alumni.  We gave them off a whole week – but we came back and have had some really good practices to get ready for the game.”
