SOL Girls' Volleyball PIAA Wrap (11-7-17)

The Pennsbury volleyball fell to Archbishop Carroll in the opening round of the PIAA Class 4A Tournament on Tuesday.

The Falcons ran into a powerful Carroll squad in Tuesday’s opening round of the state tournament, falling in three sets.
Elley Torres and Julia Vreeswyk led the Falcons at the net with 12 kills each while finishing with hitting percentages of .323 and .303 respectively. Vreeswyk also had eight digs and one ace while Torres added six digs. Sydney Buell contributed six digs, one block and two kills. Setter Kiley Bucknum had 27 assists, five digs and one ace. Heather Linker led the defense with 11 digs and one ace. Brooke Burns chipped in three kills and one dig while Shelby Hastings added a pair of kills.
Pennsbury closed out its season with a 23-3 record overall. The Falcons were 17-1 en route to an SOL National Conference title.
