SOL Girls' Volleyball Wrap (10-2-15)

ABINGTON 3, NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 1 (25-27, 25-14, 25-20, 25-18)
The Ghosts dropped the first set but rallied to win the next three to earn the non-league win.
Leah Simmons had a big night for the Ghosts, contributing 13 kills, two blocks, six digs and seven aces. Setter Emma Garg had 26 assists as well as three digs and three aces. Jamie Kidd led the way defensively with 25 digs, two aces and three assists. Also contributing were Grace Whitney (six kills, four blocks), Hannah Dalton (seven kills, three blocks) and Kaylee Goodson (two kills, four digs).

DOWNINGTOWN EAST 3, PENNSBURY 2 (21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 18-25, 15-12)
The Falcons dropped a tightly contest match against a tough Cougar squad. Julia Vreeswyk had a huge night at the net with 24 kills (and a .362 hitting percent) to go along with 13 digs, two aces and one block. Setter Kate Foley added 11 kills (and a .588 hitting percent). She also had 39 assists, 15 digs, two aces and one block. Kayla Haddad (seven kills), Jess Leventry (six kills) and Karina Knapp (six kills) also made contributions at the net. Dagny Gould led the defense with 29 digs to go along with four service aces. Cheyenne Agrio had 11 digs and Ali Zinnen added nine digs.

WILLIAM TENNENT 3, SOUDERTON 2
The visiting Panthers rebounded from a tough loss to Council Rock North 24 hours earlier to defeat the Indians in a non-league match.

CHRISTOPHER DOCK 3, NORTH PENN 2 (22-25, 25-15, 22-25, 25-10, 16-14)
The Pioneers won a non-league thriller in five sets, earning their third win in as many years over the Maidens. Dock was led by team captain Lanae Hunsberger, who had a season high 20 kills and 14 digs. Nicole Bartle and Daphne Hunsinger both were factors at the service line. Bartle and Hunsinger also led the defense with 14 and 12 digs respectively.  Hunsinger also had nine kills.
Dock (8-1) will face CB West and Upper Dublin in a tri-match on Saturday.
