SOL National

 

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-15)

The Indians capped a perfect 18-0 regular season with a sweep of the visiting Panthers.

Leading the charge for Rock North was senior captain and outside hitter Ashleigh Adams with 15 kills, nine digs, three aces and four blocks. Senior captain and setter Kate Logan had 24 assists, six digs, one ace and one block. Junior Ainsley Jordan added five kills and four digs, and junior opposite Sophie Lentz contributed six kills, one dig, two aces and two blocks. Junior outside Ainsley Jordan had five kills and four digs, and senior middle hitter Bella Slough had two kills, four blocks and two digs. Senior Julia Murphy (13 digs, two kills, one ace) and senior defensive specialist Arushi Singh (14 digs, three aces) led the defense. Senior Becca Wintjen added six digs and two assists.

Council Rock North, the lone undefeated squad, is ranked number one in the latest District One 4A power rankings.

 

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, PENNSBURY 1

Edan Kauer, Avery Vaughan and Nala Kauer proved to be a triple threat at the net for the Falcons. Edan Kauer finished with a double-double – 11 kills, 13 digs and one ace. Vaughan added 11 kills, two blocks and two aces. Nala Kauer finished the game with nine kills and three aces. Making important contributions to the defense were Shani Sun (11 digs, four kills, one ace), Lindsey Korn (13 digs, three aces) and Cadence Palmer (11 digs). Setters Lili Lauch (15 assists, nine digs) and Gina Caraccio (13 assists, one kill) combined for 28 sets.

Council Rock South closed out its regular season with a 13-5 record overall. The Golden Hawks were 10-2 in the SOL with both of their losses at the hands of Rock North.

 

SOL Colonial

 

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, PENNRIDGE 1 (25-22, 25-15, 19-25, 25-22)

The Titans closed out their regular season with a win over the visiting Rams. The win clinched a share of the top spot in the SOL Continental Conference standings.

Senior setter Shannon Rector handed out 36 assists to go along with nine digs, one ace and one kill. Senior libero Rian Grant had 16 digs, four assists and four aces. Senior outside hitter Millie Grove had another strong showing at the net, leading the Bucks with 24 kills to go along with one block, one ace and 12 digs.

Also contributing were senior defensive specialist Morgan Schaefer with six digs and senior middle Olivia Dallmer with one kill and two blocks. Junior designated specialist Julia Daniele (two digs), sophomore middle Jillian Jeffreys (one kill) and junior middle Breckyn Loynd (two kills) also chipped in.

Central Bucks South closed out its regular season with a 13-7 record overall (9-3 SOL).

 

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-22)

The Bucks earned a sweep of the Panthers in Wednesday’s Senior Night contest.

Alexis Barklage (10 kills, two blocks), Mackenzie Lund (nine kills, two blocks), Rachel Hu (seven kills, one block, three digs) and Lily Rasnake (four kills, one block, three digs) led the Bucks at the net. Erin Ferello (16 assists, four aces, one kill) and Alexa Lee (13 assists, six digs, one ace, one kill) shared setting duties.

Also contributing for the Bucks were seniors Amika Huber (two kills, one block), Sophia Ketner (one kill, nine digs), Sydney White (one ace, one assists, seven digs) and Jess Donlevie (three digs).

Central Bucks West closed out league pay with a 4-8 record.

 

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, SOUDERTON 2 (21-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-22, 15-9)

The Patriots dropped the first two sets but rallied to win the next three.

"The Patriots really put in a wholehearted team effort tonight and battled back to take the last three sets against a tough and scrappy Souderton team," East coach Jacki Curci said.

Maddy Ware led the Patriots with 20 kills, seven digs, three blocks and five aces. Samantha Sharp added 11 kills, three digs, five blocks and two aces. Also contributing were Steph Bahner (four kills, three digs, two blocks), Mia Mettille (two kills, five digs, two aces) and Kat Montabana (five kills, four aces, 10 digs, one blocks). Libero Chloe Mettille led the defense with 19 digs to go along with one kill and one assist.

Alyssa Reiner (12 kills, two digs), Teya McConaha (11 kills, one block) and Alli Sauerwald (10 kills, three digs) led the Indians at the net. Setter Nikki Hamilton handed out 37 assists to go along with two aces and 13 digs. Alexa Mazzeo led the defense with 24 digs to go with three kills and four aces.

With the win, CB East (11-8, 9-3 SOL) clinched a share of the SOL Continental title. Souderton is 11-8 overall (7-5 SOL). The Indians will host Dock Mennonite Academy in a non-league contest on Friday.

 

NORTH PENN 3, UPPER DUBLIN 1

 

SOL American

 

HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 0 (25-12 29-27, 25-9)
The Hatters secured their fourth straight SOL American title with a sweep of visiting PW. PW had challenged and took the lead in the second set, but HH was able to take the second set with extra points and continue into the third set with a strong performance.

HH was led offensively by senior setter Grace Howard with 46 assists and seven digs and three aces. The attackers had an outstanding night, hitting .442 as a team with an extremely balanced attack in Kayla Jones (12), Nastya Tsetsko (10), Jade Lauzier 10, and Isabelle Bombas with six. Juniors Jade Lauzier and Kayla Jones both had three blocks as well as Nastya Tsetsko and Isabelle Bombas adding a block each. The Hatters also shined on the serving line with 14 aces as a team. The defense was anchored by senior Libero with nine digs, complemented by Elizabeth Morgan with four, Ava Santo with four, and Abigail Kosmalski with three.

Hatboro-Horsham ends their regular season with a 16-2 overall and 11-1 league record.
