#1-11 PERK VALLEY 3, #1-22 CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0
The Titans saw a successful season come to and end in Tuesday’s opening round sweep at the hands of the Vikings.
“I am so proud of all of our girls tonight,” coach Kurt Godfrey said. “One of our goals for the season was to win a playoff match. While it wasn’t the outcome we wanted tonight, we fought hard all night.”
Junior setter Lizzie Shirley had 23 assists and 11 digs. Sophomore outside Courtney Pohl led the Titans at the net with seven kills to go along with two digs. Senior outside Maddy Morrow (six kills, two aces, 15 digs), freshman middle Millie Grove (six kills) and junior middle Allie Burke (four kills, four blocks) also contributed to the attack. Senior defensive specialist Maddie Mauri had 14 digs and one assist while junior defensive specialist McKenna Clow had 11 digs and junior defensive specialist Ashley Scott had nine digs.
“Maddy and Maddie had great games for us tonight,” Godfrey said. “You could tell as we were getting on the bus to come up to Perk Valley, they were ready to play. I thought Carly Carroll had the best match of her season tonight.  I know she had a couple kills and four or five digs.
“It’s always sad to end the season on a loss, and it’s even sadder to say goodbye to our seniors.  We’ll miss all of them. I hope that Maddy, Maddie, Maddie, Erin, Erin, Nicole and Gaby all have enjoyed their time with us and we’ll keep working hard to get better for them.  The only thing that matters is what we do right now and next.  We need to make sure we make every rep count at club and open gyms, and we can never afford to miss an opportunity to establish our identity as a team.”
Central Bucks South closed out its season with a 14-9 record (11-7 SOL).
