SOL National

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 2 (18-25, 20-25, 25-20, 25-20, 15-10)
The Titans won a hard-fought battle with the Panthers, rallying from a 2-0 deficit to win the next three sets.
Junior outside hitter Maddy Morrow contributed 10 kills, five digs and three aces. Senior opposite Isabel Miller had 14 service points, five kills and five digs. Senior middle Julia Dennis had 10 kills and three blocks. Senior setter Kelly Danyluk had 26 assists, 16 digs and six aces. Senior outside hitter Alyssa Dalmer added eight kills and nine digs, and sophomore libero McKenna Clow had 11 digs and two assists.
"Tonight we dug deep and won another five-set match,” said CB South head coach Kurt Godfrey.  "Being down 0-2 and coming back to win 3-2 really shows the grit and determination of this team.  Coming off of a big win Monday night against CB East, I think it took us a little while to settle into a rhythm tonight.  Tennent is a good team and Brian (Bassler) had them fired up tonight.  Steph is a heck of a libero for them, and it made it tough for us to get kills tonight."
"Julia Dennis has been a force at the net in the last few matches and I am so proud of her!  It's really nice to see it all coming together for her in her senior year.   I think she and Kelly (Danyluk) have really been on the same page lately and it’s helped our offense tremendously.  Alyssa and Isabel were really great for us tonight too -  Alyssa at the net and Isabel had a monster night for us at the service line.  She had 14 points for us back there.  Hopefully, this momentum carries into the end of this week and rolls into next week.  We'll go back to work tomorrow in practice, fix a few things we need to work on and be ready for the next big challenge that comes our way."
For the Panthers, Nicole Long had a huge night with 23 kills, five aces and 12 digs. Shaina Gatton also had a big night with 11 kills and 10 digs. Stephanie Woolston led the defense with 35 digs and four aces. Jessica Rutkowsky added 14 digs while Mackenzie Lockett had 11 kills, and Sara Ingham added eight blocks. Setter Kelly Scipione had a team-high 32 assists.
“Tonight was just one of those matches that is hard to describe unless you were there,” Tennent coach Brian Bassler said of his team’s Dig Pink Night. “We had a huge crowd, raised a lot of money for a good cause, had a 2-0 lead and lost 3-2. I wish I could be upset, but I can't. A little bummed but far from upset. We have come such a long way, and this team fights as hard as any team I have seen. They lay everything on the line.
“We played without our middle hitter Devyn Cobb, who had an MRI on her knee and Kelsey O'Shea who plays defensive specialist. Mackenzie Lockett, our other middle, went down with an ankle sprain and our libero left the gym wrapped in ice, but the girls kept fighting. CB South serves smart and has a great group of girls, and this type of match really does not have any losers. I give them a lot of credit for coming back.”
