SOL Girls' Volleyball Wrap (10-5-16)

Check out the results for SOL girls’ volleyball teams in action Wednesday.

American Conference

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 2
The Panthers found themselves in a five-set match for the fifth time this season, and it was the Golden Hawks eking out the win.
“I don’t think I have been involved in this many five-set matches in the past 14 years as I have this year,” said Tennent coach Brian Bassler, whose team is 2-3 in the marathon matches. “The girls battled as usual and are just phenomenal people and athletes.
“We raised money for two great local charities tonight, and it is heartbreaking to watch the team fall short. The girls from South played well in front of a big crowd, and it just continues to show the amount of parity in the National.”
