UPPER DUBLIN 3, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 1 (25-22, 15-25, 26-24, 25-18)
It was a consummate team effort that led the Cards to the win over PW as four players had double-digit kills and four had double-digit digs.
“Everyone contributed and earned this hard fought win,” coach Paul Choi said. “PW did an outstanding job back row and took us off our game a bit, but (I’m) proud of these girls for staying aggressive and playing as one team throughout the match.
“Our middles really stepped up their game tonight and helped our defensive line. It was an awesome match with lots of great rallies going back and forth.”
Sarah Dennin (12 kills, eight digs, three aces, two blocks.), Melanie Phifer (11 kills, two aces, 30 digs), Taylor Stek (three aces, 10 kills, 25 digs) and Jenny Mcaneney (10 kills, six digs) had huge nights at the net with Phifer leading the Cards’ defense as well. Alison Gouveia had seven kills, one dig and one block. Setter Bryn Stek had 48 assists to go along with 11 digs, one kill and one ace. Gabbi Johnson had 29 digs and two aces.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, SOUDERTON 2 (21-25, 25-22, 26-28, 25-16, 15-12)
The Indians extended the Titans to five sets before falling in a tightly contested fifth game, 15-12. Megan Freed had a huge night at the net, delivering 22 kills to go along with 14 digs and three aces. Setter Cori Watson had 44 assists and 10 digs while Miranda Baronett had 15 digs. Also contributing were Monica Miller (eight kills, two blocks), Alexa Spause (eight kills, six digs) and Megan Pirtle (seven kills, two blocks).

PENNRIDGE 3, NORTH PENN 0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-10)
Steph Judkins led the Lady Rams at the net with 12 kills while Ariana Pryzbylowski (six kills, one block) and Lauren Drugotch (five kills, two blocks, three aces) also had big games. Setter Meghan Keefe had 24 assists, three kills and six aces. Victoria Jones had five aces and four kills, and Kelly Bergen had eight digs.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, MOUNT SAINT JOSEPH 0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-23)
The Hatters swept the Magic in a non-league match Friday. The team’s offensive success was shared by senior Sam Jones with 16 kills, junior Cassidy Quattro with eight kills, junior Jaimee Stoczko with seven and senior Alexa Kennedy with four. Senior Candyce Riley had 27 assists, three kills and three serving aces. Sophomore Allison Laucella added three aces and dominated on defense with 18 digs. Riley added 11 digs and Jones another seven.

PENNSBURY 3, NESHAMINY 0

Thursday, Oct. 9
HATBORO-HORSHAM 3, NORRISTOWN 0 (25-18, 25-16, 27-25)
The Hatters swept the Eagles, receiving contributions from everyone. Senior Sam Jones led the offense with 10 kills, senior Alexa Kennedy had five kills, and junior Jaimee Stoczko added four. Senior Candyce Riley dished out 28 assists. Junior Christine Ruffin served 14 points. On defense, Riley had eight digs, Jones had seven, and sophomore Allison Laucella added five.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH (25-21, 25-12, 25-19)
The Indians defeated the host Golden Hawks at Thursday’s Dig Pink Match. The event was an overall success, raising more than $1200 for the Side Out Foundation. The parent committee, according to coach Kelly Korn, did an amazing job organizing and putting together a memorable event. The raffles, the food, the prize wheel, the flowers – “it was fabulous,” said Korn.
For the Golden Hawks, Ally Goodwin had a pair of digs, a pair of kills and three service aces. Donna Spiteri had two kills, two aces and four blocks. Senior libero Emily Liu had 10 digs. Senior setter Maddie Henschel had 10 digs and five assists, and Erika Shevcheck contributed three kills.

UPPER MERION 3, ABINGTON 0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-12)
Eryn Brady and Emily Shannon each had eight kills while Ashley Shannon had 11 digs. Carlye Odorisio dished out 22 assists. Odorisio, Emily Shannon and Ashley Shannon had four, three and two aces respectively.
For the Ghosts, Carley Cooper (eight kills, three blocks, 12 digs) and Leah Simmons (10 kills, one block) both had big nights. Claire Gassman added five kills and six digs. Jamie Kidd led the defense with 11 digs. Setter Sarah Donahue had 21 assists and five digs. Freshman Hannah Daulton had three blocks.
With the victory, the Vikings are on the brink of clinching their eighth consecutive American Conference title and raised their record to 14-2. The Lady Vikings can clinch at least a tie in their next outing on Monday at home versus Cheltenham.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, QUAKERTOWN 0
The Patriots earned a sweep of the Panthers, using a balanced attack that saw nine of 11 players deliver at least one kill.
“It was a great team effort with contributions from all the players,” coach Scott Geller said.  “The team played confident, strong and smart.”
Hannah LaMond led the way with six kills and four blocks while Natalie Arm had five kills and two aces and Julia Gallagher, four kills and four blocks. Bridget Terrel and Kelly Guillen both with three kills. Krista Helveston had two kills while Emma Goll and Madie D’Angelo both had one kill. Lauren Helveston led the offense with 24 assists.
For the Panthers, Jen Sterner (six assists, two digs, one ace) and Kerry Vanyo (four assists, four digs) split setting duties. Leading the Panthers at the net were Amanda Pursel (three kills, six digs), Haley Sheehan (three kills, three digs), Katelyn Spieker (two kills, two digs) and Skylar Lee (two blocks). Lindsay Beck had 11 digs.

CHRISTOPHER DOCK 3, SOUDERTON 0 (29-27, 25-17, 25-20)
Savannah Bostwick led the Indians’ defense with 16 digs. Megan Freed (five kills, nine digs), Monica Miller (six kills) and Hannah Fairweather (five kills). Miranda Baronett contributed six digs and four aces. Cori Watson had 17 assists and three aces.

CHELTENHAM 3, HARRITON 0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-19)

0
