SOL Girls' Volleyball Wrap (9-11-14)

Check out the results for SOL girls’ volleyball teams in action Thursday.

PENNRIDGE 3, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-20)
Steph Judkins led the Lady Rams at the net with 11 kills. Setter Meghan Keefe had 22 assists to go along with nine digs and seven aces. Ariana Pryzbylowski had five kills, and Victoria Jones added six.
“I had hoped for a better outcome but we did not provide them a high caliber match that we are capable of,” South coach Ulana Keer said. “We had glimmers but couldn’t string enough points together to make it happen. We learned some tough lessons tonight, which I hope will translate into better volleyball down the road.
“Eryn Cleary, our setter, hustled after every ball and got her hands on many if not all of our passes and distributed well to our hitters under extreme conditions.”
Cleary finished with 12 assists.
“Pennridge had a very strong server in #6, and she overpowered our serve receive over the span of three games with 20 points taking us out of system - no wonder she is a captain,” Keer said. “She did a great job. Our serve receive couldn’t manage her serve, and we did not make adjustments fast enough.”
For the Titans, Taylor Danilowicz had six aces, Larissa Keer had five aces, Megan Manderson had three aces, Eryn Cleary, two aces and Sarah Poli, one ace. Taylor Danilowicz led the Titans with kills, Larissa Keer had three kills, Sarah Poli, two kills, and Megan Manderson added one kill.
“At the net, we did a good job hitting the ball,” Keer said. “Pennridge’s Steph Judkins hit well at line and cross court. Larissa Keer dug her shots crosscourt, and we tried to stop her at the net down the line. She is a powerful hitter. Our blockers had their hands full with managing middle, right side and outside, Breanna Jackson and Meghan Dunn both had a couple of blocks.”
The Rams will travel to Souderton on Tuesday night.
