CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 2 (14-25, 25-11, 25-22, 20-25, 17-15)
The Titans won yet another tightly contested match, edging the Patriots.
“It was an exciting match tonight with JV girls screaming support for their teams, CB East chants with CB South chants after the other team played a point,” South coach Ulana Keer said. “It was an awesome sight to watch – loved all the cheering.
“That is something that you only get with a sister school. Players could barely hear each other – that’s how loud it was.”
According to Keer, there were some outstanding rallies, but both teams had their share of missed serves, missed hits and blocks.
“As a coach, how do you overcome inexperience and missed chances,” said Keer. “I know you need to do a lot of deep breathing – I know I did tonight.
“We had a plan going into tonight. It is a risk-reward kind of plan, and you don’t know if it is going to work until you go through the match.”
Keer lauded the solid hitting of Taylor Danilowicz and Sara Poli.
“Both pushed the envelope,” the Titans’ coach said. “Serving was outstanding with Larissa Keer, Taylor Danilowicz, Megan Manderson, Eryn Cleary and Sara Poli all contributing to the win.
“Serve receive had great moments with good adjustments being made after game one. Blocking is still under construction, and we need some more improvement, but it is coming along.
“Breana Jackson, Megan Manderson and Meghan Dunn came up with huge blocks in game five, which helped us surge with momentum.”

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, NORTH PENN 0 (26-24, 25-20, 25-19)
Sophia Videva led the Bucks at the net with 11 kills to go along with three aces and one block. Julia Schweibenz added seven kills and six digs and Kate Hudson, five kills, two aces. Kelly McKinstry led the defense with 14 digs to go along with a team-high four aces. Setter Kayla King had 21 assists, 10 digs, two kills and one ace.
