SOL Girls' Volleyball Wrap (9-19-17)

CB East & CB West were winners in SOL girls’ volleyball action Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 2 (25-20, 19-25, 30-28, 29-31, 15-13)
The Bucks won an epic five-set battle. The match ended with two consecutive blocks by West to win the match.
West was led by Katie Hudson, whose monster performance included 28 kills, four aces, two blocks and 26 digs. Other leaders for West included Mackenzie Brooks (11 kills, one ace, eight digs) and Amanda Mass (seven kills, three blocks, three digs). Maggie Winderman had a busy night, finishing with 38 digs to lead the defense and three assists. Setter Ana Claricurzio had 45 assists, 19 digs and one ace. Tenley Mileski added 19 digs. Naomi Woo added three kills and four blocks, and Casey Taylor had four kills, two blocks and seven digs.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 1 (25-9, 25-27, 25-17, 25-16)
The Panthers put up a battle, eking out a win in the second set, but the Patriots won the next two.
For the Patriots, Anna Ritter had another great all around game with 38 assists, five kills and 11 digs. Jenn Krzeminski led the Patriots again with seven aces, 18 kills, two blocks and 17 digs. Makaila Freeman also had another solid performance at the net with 11 kills and two blocks. The Patriots, according to coach Kerri Rabberman, received amazing defense from Morgan Beakley with 26 digs. Morgan D'Angelo also followed with an awesome defensive performance with 14 digs and four aces. Vivien Agassi had one ace and three kills while Ysabelle Minschwaner added five kills, one block and one ace. Courtney Woolslayer added two kills.
“Gina Feliz, Aurora Budson and Julie Byrne also added a spark to another team play performance win,” Rabberman said.
