SOL Girls' Volleyball Wrap (9-22-18)

PENNSBURY 3, MOUNT SAINT JOSEPH 2 (25-17, 23-25, 25-23, 23-25, 15-11)
The Falcons rebounded from their loss to Council Rock South with an impressive five-set win over the Mount.
Izzy Marinelli led a trio of double-digit kill efforts, finishing with 19 kills to go along with three digs. Brooke Burns had an impressive double-double with 13 kills and 15 digs. She also had five service aces. Elley Torres also had a double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs as well as two solo blocks. Setter Carissa Van Veen had 15 digs and 42 assists. Ashley Parry (five digs, one kill, one ace), Kathryn Croteau (two digs, two kills, one ace) and Jada Rice (two kills, one block) also contributed.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, RIDLEY 0 (25-21, 26-24, 25-17)
The Patriots opened play in Saturday’s tri-match with a sweep of the Green Raiders.
“This was a great start to our day,” coach Kerri Rabberman said. “We fought every single point and we were down pretty big in the second game and when Ridley had game point and my girls just fought. Ridley is a great team and truly tested us every point.”
Jenn Krzeminski was huge at the net with seven blocks, 14 kills, two aces and five digs. Anna Ritter distributed 25 assists, two kills, four aces and three digs. Halle Sharp added three kills and three digs. Vivien Agassi contributed six kills, one ace and three digs. Izzy Guzzi added one block and four kills while Camille Larson added two kills. Morgan D'Angelo led the defense with six digs and had two aces. Abby Killough added five digs and Chloe Mettille contributed five digs as well.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, WEST CHESTER HENDERSON 2 (25-18, 22-25, 26-24, 19-25, 15-7)
The Patriots capped a memorable day with a grueling five-set win over Henderson.
“This was a true battle tonight and I commend Henderson on their tremendous talent and fight,” coach Kerri Rabberman said. “I couldn't be more proud of my girls. After just playing, we went right into this match and it went for the long haul.
“We were down big in the third game, but the girls just dug down and didn't give up. They played together and for each other. I was such a proud coach today.”
Anna Ritter, according to her coach, was terrific with 39 assists, one kill, six aces and two digs. Jenn Krzeminski was tremendous on offense with 16 kills, two assists, four blocks, one ace and eight digs. Halle Sharp had a great game with 11 kills, three aces and four digs. Vivien Agassi was a force at the net with 13 kills, two blocks and four digs. Izzy Guzzi was also great at the net with six kills and three blocks.
“Camille Larson was smart at the end and had some vital touches on her block throughout the match,” Rabberman said. “Morgan D'Angelo was everywhere on the court and had 17 digs and one ace. Abby Killough played amazing defense with eight digs and also had two aces. Chloe Mettille also had a great game on defense with six digs.”

Friday, Sept. 21
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, ARCHBISHOP WOOD 0 (25-22, 25-11, 25-21)
Kerri Rabberman called Friday night’s non-league win another great team effort.
“It has been fun seeing things click throughout the games,” the Patriots’ coach said. “I am looking forward to watching them grow even more.”
Jenn Krzeminski was big at the net again with 15 kills and four blocks. She also added three aces and six digs. Anna Ritter contributed 30 assists, six digs and two aces. Halle Sharp added eight kills, one block, one ace and three digs. Vivien Agassi also had a great night with nine kills, four digs and one ace. Camille Larson added three kills while Izzy Guzzi added one block and two kills. Defensively, Morgan D'Angelo led the way with eight digs and had three aces. Rabberman credited Abby Killough for having a great night with one ace and five digs. Chloe Mettille also contributed with four digs.
