Non-league

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, HATBORO-HORSHAM 0 (25-19, 30-28, 25-23)

In a match between a pair of undefeated SOL powers, it was the Indians earning a sweep, but the Hatters put up a tremendous fight in a match that featured two marathon sets that saw both teams with set point opportunities..

Senior captain and outside hitter Ashleigh Adams led the Indians with 23 kills, nine aces, 17 digs, one block and one assist, and junior outside hitter Ainsley Jordan added six kills, seven digs, one block and one assist. Senior captain Kate Logan, the team’s setter, had 27 assists, nine digs, two aces and four kills. Senior middle Bella Slough chipped in with one kill, two blocks and two digs, and junior opposite Sophie Lentz had four digs and one ace. Sophomore libero Emma McNulty had six digs and one assist, and senior outside hitter Julia Murphy had five digs and one block. Adding five digs and one assist was senior setter Becca Wintjen.

The Hatters were led offensively by junior outside hitter Kayla Jones with 12 kills, senior Nastya Tsetsko with 10, junior middle hitter Jade Lauzier with six and senior middle Hitter Izzy Bombas with five. Junior Jade Lauzier also added three blocks at the net. The offense was run by Grace Howard with 31 assists and two aces with senior defensive specialist Ava Santo adding three aces on the line. The Hatters’ defense was again anchored by senior libero Maci Lumpkin with 10 digs and two aces.

HH will rest after a long week and get back to it with an away match at PW on Tuesday.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 0 (25-22, 26-24, 25-18)

The Bucks earned a sweep of the Panthers, but it was anything but easy.

West was led by a big night from Rachel Hu with eight aces, nine kills and eight digs. Alexis Barklage had seven kills, one ace and two blocks. Setter Erin Ferello contributed two aces, five kills, 30 assists and 18 digs. Annika Huber and Mackenzie Lund both contributed four kills. Alexa Lee had 14 digs, and Caroline Taylor had one ace and 10 digs.
