SOL National

 

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-14)

The Indians upped their record to a perfect 10-0 with their sweep of the Panthers.

Senior captain and outside hitter Ashleigh Adams (15 kills, four aces, 11 digs, one block) and junior outside Ainsley Jordan (10 kills, five digs, four aces, one assist) led the Indians at the net. Senior captain and setter Kate Logan had 24 assists, five digs, one ace and two kills. Senior middle Bella Slough (four kills), junior opposite Sophie Lentz (four kills, one dig, three aces, one block, one assist), sophomore libero Emma McNulty (seven digs, one assist, one ace) and senior setter Becca Wintjen (seven digs, one assist, one ace) also made valuable contributions. Senior outside Julia Murphy, sophomore defensive specialist Kaitlyn Lidel and sophomore opposite Elizabeth Butler each had one dig.

Council Rock North is 10-0 overall, 6-0 in the SOL. William Tennent is 7-5 (3-3 SOL).

 

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, PENNSBURY 1

The Golden Hawks – sparked by a huge night from Edan Kauer - notched their eighth win in nine matches. Kauer led the Golden Hawks with 17 kills, one block and three aces. Avery Vaughan had eight kills and three aces while Nala Kauer added four kills and three aces. Shani Sun had five kills and three aces while Gracie DeSaro had two blocks and one kill. Lili Lauch (22 assists, two aces, eight digs) and Gina Caraccio (16 assists, two kills, two digs) shared setting duties. Cadence Palmer was credited for playing great defense.

For the Falcons, Natalie Johnson led the attack with eight digs while Grace Sobey led the defense with 17 digs.

Council Rock South upped its record to 8-1 (5-1 SOL) while Pennsbury is 4-3 overall (3-2 SOL).

 

SOL Continental

 

SOUDERTON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-22)

The Indians knocked the Patriots from the ranks of the undefeated in the conference standings, earning a sweep of their visitors.

Alexa Mazzeo led a standout defensive effort with 16 digs as well as one ace and two assists. Setter Nikki Hamilton handed out 22 assists to go along with one ace and three digs. Alyssa Reiner (nine kills, two aces, seven digs) and Alli Sauerwald (10 kills, two aces, two digs) led the Indians at the net. Isabelle Feliciani added four aces and eight digs.

Souderton improved to 5-4 overall (2-3 SOL) while Central Bucks East is 6-4 overall, 5-1 in the SOL.

 

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, PENNRIDGE 0 (25-23, 28-26, 25-15)

The visiting Titans rode the dominating effort of Millie Groves at the net to earn a sweep of the Rams. The Titans’ senior outside hitter had 23 kills, seven digs and three aces while sophomore middle (five kills, one block) and junior middle Katie Canzanese (four kills, five digs) also contributed at the net. Sophomore middle Jillian Jeffreys had five kills and one block. Senior setter Shannon Rector had 30 assists, nine digs, four aces and one kill. Senior libero Rian Grant finished with nine digs, two aces and two assists. Also contributing were junior defensive specialist Julia Daniele (three digs), sophomore defensive specialist Julia Lucci (three aces) and senior middle Erin Mangan (two kills).

Central Bucks South improved its record to 7-4 overall (4-2 SOL) while Pennridge is 4-6 overall (2-4 SOL).

 

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-6, 25-13, 25-19)

The visiting Bucks rolled to a sweep of the Panthers.

West was led by big nights from both Alexis Barklage (15 kills, two aces, one block) and Rachel Hu (nine kills, nine aces, five digs). Other leaders were Mackenzie Lund (four kills, three aces, one block), Alexa Lee (one kill, one ace, 27 assists, six digs) and Caroline Taylor (two aces, nine digs).

Central Bucks West is 4-6 overall (2-2 SOL) while Quakertown is 1-9 overall (0-6 SOL).

 

SOL American

 

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 3, HATBORO-HORSHAM 2

The Colonials did what no SOL team had done in four previous SOL outings, handing the Hatters their first conference loss of the season in a five-set match Tuesday.

Plymouth Whitemarsh improved to 6-2 overall (3-1 SOL) while Hatboro-Horsham is 5-2 overall (4-1 SOL).
