SOL National Conference

BENSALEM 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 1 (21-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-17)
The Owls rallied from a 1-0 deficit to win three straight sets, notching the impressive win over the visiting Panthers.
“This was a huge league win for us today,” Bensalem coach Violet DiMichele said. “Tennent was a tough team to compete against and kept us on our toes the entire time. The girls really wanted this win today because we’ve been off to a rocky start. They stayed composed the entire time and hustled until they pulled the win together.” 
Chloe Costello led the Owls’ defense with 21 digs while Talia DiMichele facilitated the offense with 23 assists and also had an ace. Ashley Tarr led the Owls at the net with 15 kills and two aces, and Mackenzie Kramer turned in an all-around solid outing with three aces, three kills and three blocks.
Bensalem (2-2, 1-1 SOL) will travel to Harry S Truman on Thursday, and William Tennent (1-3, 0-2) will host Council Rock North on Thursday.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, PENNSBURY 2 (26-24, 12-25, 25-16, 21-25, 15-13)
The Indians and Falcons took turns exchanging best shots, alternating wins in a grueling five-set match. The loss was the first of the young season for the Falcons.
“We have been working very hard on our mental strength during long matches,” Rock North coach Joe Schweitzer said. “We needed all the mental toughness we could find tonight to fend off a very talented Pennsbury team. Tomorrow it is back to work to build what we did today.
The Indians were led by sophomore Olivia Syzymkiewicz with 15 kills, senior Kaitlyn Liedl with 11 kills and junior Addison Zarillo with seven kills. Liedl also had three service aces.
Council Rock North (3-1, 1-0 SOL) will travel to William Tennent on Thursday, and Pennsbury (4-1, 1-1) will host Council Rock South on Thursday.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, NESHAMINY 0
The Golden Hawks received contributions from up and down their lineup in Tuesday’s sweep of the Redskins.
Ashlyn Dinan (16 assists, 2 aces) and Rachel Khelmer (15 assists, 1 ace, 1 kill) shared setting duties, combining for 31 assists and spreading the ball around to their teammates. Dinan also contributed strong serving.
Edan Kauer’s nine kills led a balanced Golden Hawks attack. She also had five aces. Olivia De Saro had six kills and one block, and Nala Kauer added five kills. Rachael Buchnik contributed four kills. Cadence Palmer (5 digs, 1 ace) and Cassidy Melnick (5 digs, 2 aces) led the Hawks’ defense. Helle Wilson contributed four aces while Dara Botnick (2 kills), Yana Kotlyarenko (1 block, 2 kills) and Sara Gannon (2 kills) also contributed.
Council Rock South (2-0 SOL) will travel to Pennsbury on Thursday, and Neshaminy (1-1, 0-1) will be on the road at Villa Joseph Marie for a non-league match Wednesday.

SOL Continental Conference

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-19)
The Titans notched their first win of the young season with their sweep of the visiting Panthers.
Junior outside hitters
Madison Zagnojny set the tone for a strong match from the service line, contributing a team-high seven aces. She also led the Titans with nine kills to go along with five digs.  Senior opposite Ally Schiesser added seven kills, one ace, one assist and three digs while senior outside Jillian Jefferys also had seven kills and added three digs. Sophomore setter Carly Scott dished out 25 assists and also had six aces, three kills and nine digs. Freshman libero Olivia Hessenthaler led the defense with 11 digs and also had one ace and one assist. Senior defensive specialist Julia Lucci had eight digs, two aces and one kill while senior middle Peyton Snyder (3 aces, 1 kill, 4 digs) and senior defensive specialist Sarah Murray (3 digs) also contributed.
For the Panthers, Anna Skogen handed our 14 assists and also had one kill, one ace and three digs. Grace White (5 kills, 2 aces, 1 block, 2 digs), Cece Bates (4 kills, 1 ace, 2 digs) and Ellie White (4 kills, 1 ace, 2 digs) led the Panthers at the net. Colleen Gallagher led the defense with 10 digs to go along with two aces, and Meghan Steiert had eight digs.
Central Bucks South (1-2, 1-1 SOL) will travel to Pennridge on Thursday, and Quakertown (1-2, 0-2) will host Central Bucks West on Thursday.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, NORTH PENN 1 (23-25, 25-10, 25-19, 25-20)
The Bucks dropped their first set against the visiting Knights but rallied to win the next three.
Rachel Hu led the Bucks with 15 kills, 11 digs and four aces in a strong all-around effort. Alexis Barklage added 12 kills and three blocks, and the duo proved to be double trouble at the net for the Knights. Erin Ferello (16 assists, 3 kills, 2 aces, 8 digs) and Elisa Kremser (13 assists, 1 kill, 1 block, 2 digs) split setting duties. Alex Lee led the Bucks’ defense with 16 digs and also had three aces. Amber Woodring added 13 digs and three aces. Also contributing were Hollis Walton (2 kills, 2 aces, 2 blocks), Mairead Donaher (1 kills, 2 aces, 7 digs) and Kya Lynch (1 kill, 2 blocks, 3 digs).
Central Bucks West (3-0, 1-0 SOL) will be on the road Wednesday at Quakertown, and North Penn (0-3, 0-2) will travel to Central Bucks East on Thursday.

SOUDERTON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 1 (18-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-18)
The Indians dropped the opening set but – sparked by the strong net play of Kay Guessford and McKenna Murawski - came back to win the next three to earn the hard-fought road win.
Guessford and Murawski combined for 27 kills with Guessford leading the way with 14 to go along with two aces and seven digs. Murawski added 13 kills and paced the Indians’ defense with 15 digs. She also had four aces and two blocks in a standout effort. Setter Margaret Donnelly handed out 27 assists and also had seven digs and one block. Zoe Folk also had a big game defensively, finishing with 14 digs to go along with one ace and two assists. Lauren Vince contributed two kills, three aces, four digs and one block.
Souderton (4-1, 2-0 SOL) will host Lansdale Catholic in a non-league match Thursday, and Central Bucks East (1-4, 1-1) will travel to North Penn on Thursday.

SOL American Conference

UPPER DUBLIN 3, ABINGTON 1
The visiting Cardinals used a balanced attack to earn their first win of the young season.
UD setter Kaitlyn Small had a busy night, contributing 32 assists, 19 digs, three kills and one block. Janis Andrulonis led the Cards at the net with nine kills to go along with two aces, three digs and one block. Brooke Kinsley added eight kills, one ace, one assist and nine digs while Natalie Marshall had seven kills and three digs. Madison Small contributed six kills, four aces and six digs.
Upper Dublin (1-3, 1-1 SOL) will host Conwell-Egan in a non-league match Wednesday, and Abington (2-1, 1-1) will travel to Wissahickon on Thursday.
