HATBORO-HORSHAM 270, PHOENIXVILLE 278 (GIRLS)
Monday, Aug. 18, 2014
The Hatters jumpstarted their season with a solid win over the Phantoms at Phoenixville C.C.  Although the Lady Hatters' top guns Cassidy Gavaghan and Hannah Fireman struggled a bit with the tight and unknown course, the rest of the team came through with scores to capture the victory.  Gavaghan led the Hatters with a 47 on the Par 36 9-hole course, with Fireman right behind with a 48.
Cameron Fisher and Julia Lyon shot 58's, and Katie Hartmaier and Natalie Jadwin posted 59's.  With five scores counting for the team score, the Lady Hatters were able to close out Phoenixvlle as they had to count a 64 and 65.  Grace Simenson led all scorers with a solid 40 at the Phantoms home course.
Next up for the Lady Hatters is a tri-match tomorrow at Talamore vs. Boyertown (PAC 10) & old SOL rival CB East.

2014 Lady Hatter Invitational
Thursday, August 14, 2014
Sophomore Cassidy Gavaghan led the Hatters to a second place team finish at the first ever Lady Hatter Invitational hosted by Hatboro-Horsham at Talamore Country Club. Gavaghan shot a 2 over par 37 on the front 9 at Talamore. Her score was good enough to force a playoff for the individual championship against the Mount’s Maggie Shoeller, who also shot 37. Shoeller captured individual medalist honors with a par on the second hole (#11) of the playoff.
H-H junior Hannah Fireman finished in fourth over all with a 44. Cameron Fisher (10) posted 51, and Katie Hartmaier (11) shot 53. All four Lady Hatters scored in the top 10 of the individual scoring, resulting in the Hatters finishing second with a score of 185 to the defending PIAA State Champions, Mount St. Joseph (171). Gwynedd Mercy Academy finished third with a team score of 210. Villa Joseph Marie did not compete in the team event but did have two players play in the individual event.
