SOL Executive Secretary Ray Coleman and SOL President Lisa Becker, principal of Pennsbury High School, presented a certificate of appreciation to Univest Bank and Trust Co on Tuesday.
Since 2008, 444 of the Suburban One League’s outstanding student-athletes have been recognized as Univest Featured Athletes on SuburbanOneSports.com. This recognition is made possible through the site’s longstanding partnership with Univest Bank and Trust Co.
In recognition of the contributions of Univest, Ray Coleman, executive secretary of the SOL, and Pennsbury Principal Lisa Becker, President of the SOL, presented a certificate of appreciation on Tuesday at the corporate’s Souderton office.
Accepting on behalf of Univest Bank and Trust Co. were Annette Szygiel, Executive Vice President and Chief Experience Officer, Kim Detwiler, Senior Vice President, Director of Corporate Communications, and Nicole O’Neil, Public Relations and Social Media Manager.
For the second time in as many years, Univest also is partnering with SuburbanOneSports in September to present the Caring for Sports Giveaway. Students, parents, teachers and fans are invited to nominate their school by posting the name of their school on the Univest Facebook page www.facebook.com/UnivestCoporation or by tweeting their vote to @UnivestCorp. The athletic department of the school with the most votes in this contest, which begins Sept. 15, will be awarded $1,000 at a home athletic event where there will be a giveaway for the fans. The school also will receive a custom-made banner recognizing its fans. Check back for additional information on this contest.
