Central Bucks South 4      Council Rock South 4
In a classic battle between two perennial powers, the Titans and Golden Hawks battled to a tie. Eric Higgins had a three-point night for the Golden Hawks with two goals and one assist, and Dominic Bova contributed a goal and an assist for CB South, but no other player on either team had more than one point.
The Titans led 2-1 after one period, thanks to back-to-back goals by Leo Flick (power play) and Bova, but a late goal by Higgins cut the Titans’ 2-0 lead in half. South went on top 3-1 after a Jake Bauer power play goal early in the second period, but the Golden Hawks closed out the period with back-to-back power play goals – the first by Parker DeFelice and the second by Higgins – to knot the score 3-3.
In the final period, Karl Martin gave the Golden Hawks a 4-3 lead and capped a three-goal run by Rock South, but a minute later, just 3:11 into the period, Connor Matsinger scored an unassisted goal for the Titans, knotting the score. Neither team scored the rest of the way although the Titans – who held a 19-5 advantage in shots in the period – had their opportunities.
CB South held a 37-24 edge in shots, but Rock South goalie Zachary Magro turned away 33 of 37 shots he faced.

The two National Conference rivals headed into the final period deadlocked 1-1 in a game of limited scoring opportunities for both sides. It was Larry Kolk (Lude Ledes/Tommy Hynes assists) scoring a goal 12:12 into the third period that turned out to be the game winner.
