ABINGTON 5, NESHAMINY 3
The Ghosts’ used a balanced attack and a big second period to earn the important win over the Redskins.
The two teams exchanged goals in the opening period with Nicholas Schenk scoring an unassisted goal for the Ghosts only to watch Anthony Blickle (Aric Miller assist) answer for the ‘Skins.
Back-to-back goals by Eric Leporati to open the second period gave the Ghosts a lead they would not lose. Mark Maher scored for the Redskins to make it a 3-2 game, but a power play goal by Alex DiCristofano gave the Ghosts a two-goal advantage at the end of the period.
That lead grew to 5-2 when Leporati completed the hat trick with his third goal of the night – this one shorthanded. Miller closed out the scoring for the Redskins.
The Ghosts held a 24-19 advantage in shots. Thomas Meehan (16 saves) earned the win in goal.

WISSAHICKON 10, UPPER MORELAND 7
Brandon Rosoff scored four goals while teammate Dylan Alioto added two goals and two assists to lead the Trojans’ high-powered offense. Teammates Andrew Cade, Jake Flancer and Jacob Segelbaum all had three-point nights as each of them contributed a goal and two assists.
Nick Park led the Golden Bears with four goals and two assists, but on this night, it was the Trojans’ balance that won out.
The Trojans seized control early, scoring six straight goals before Ryan MacFarland scored a power play goal in the period’s closing seconds to make it a 6-1 game. Rosoff had a pair of goals while Cade, Flancer, Segelbaum and Matt Wilson each added single goals.
A goal by Alioto to open the second period gave the Trojans a 7-1 lead, but the Bears answered with three straight goals to close out the period with Nick Park contributing a pair and Jake Park adding a single goal to make it a 7-4 game.
The Trojans’ lead was trimmed to 7-5 after another Nick Park goal, but Rosoff answered for the Trojans. Still, the Golden Bears refused to go away, and late goals by Nick Park and MacFarland made it an 8-7 game before the Trojans closed it out with a pair of goals in the closing moments by Rosoff and Alioto.
The Trojans held a 69-23 advantage in shots. Only the remarkable 59-save effort of Patrick Beissel kept the Bears within striking distance.
