Friday, Jan. 25
HATBORO-HORSHAM 6, LOWER MORELAND 5
The Hatters took a 6-4 lead into the final period of Friday night’s American Conference battle and held on for the hard-fought win over the Lions.
Adam Bostock scored 3:45 into the opening period to give the Lions an early lead. Vincenzo DeMaio and Simon Pezalla assisted on the goal. Seth Lerner knotted the score, using a Marcus Soucy assist, and the Hatters took their first lead when Aidan Esack scored. A goal by Ben Lerner (Seth Lerner/Alex Howieson assists) put the Hatters on top 3-1 before Bostock scored a late goal with a Devin Green assist.
Bostock’s third goal of the game knotted the score 3-3 just over two minutes into the second period. Less than a minute later, Ben Lerner found the net with a Kyle Mullen assist, giving the Hatters a 4-3 lead. Again the Lions answered, this time on a goal by Green with an Alex Silverman assist. Goals by Howiesen (Vince Tarsi/Sayvion Jones assists) and Tarek Elsabbagh sent the Hatters into the final period with a two-goal lead. Tyler Scolnick made things interesting when he scored 11:20 into the period with assists from Bostock and Green. Neither team scored the rest of the way as the Hatters held on for the win.
Joe Gambino earned the win in goal for the Hatters, turning away 18 shots.

Thursday, Jan 24
CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 9, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 2
Sean Gorman had himself a night for the Patriots, scoring four goals and assisting on two others for six points.
In a preview of things to come, Gorman scored a pair of goals to spot the Patriots a 2-0 lead less than 10 minutes into the game. Jasen Cluckey assisted on the first and Matt Cipriano had an assist on the second. Rock North’s Michael Janora found the net late in the period to make it a 2-1 game after one period.
East took control of the contest with five unanswered goals in the second period. Gorman scored a pair – the first with a Cluckey assist and the second with a Rob Kern assist. Adding single goals were Cluckey, Chris Mangiacapre and Kern as the Patriots opened up a 7-1 lead.
In the final period, Colin Kiefer scored a power play goal with a Michael Janora assist. East closed out the scoring with single goals by Richard Kacmarczyk (Jeff Carp assist) and Owen Connor (Carp assist).
In a contest that saw the Patriots hold a 51-20 advantage in shots, Rock North goalie Rex Goldberg recorded 42 saves. Matt Ogonowski was credited with 18 saves in a winning effort for the Patriots.

NESHAMINY 8, SOUDERTON 3
Joey DeMatteo scored four goals and assisted on another to lead the Redskins to the convincing win.
It took just 39 seconds for the Redskins to get on the scoreboard when Robert Seewagen found the net. Nicholas Szlavik answered with a goal for the Indians, but Neshaminy closed out the period with three unanswered goals. DeMatteo scored a pair – the first with a Thomas Gallagher assist and the second with an assist from Gallagher and Matthew Duke. Trevor Kuhn also scored with a Charles Potash assist, and the Redskins took a 4-1 lead into the second period.
DeMatteo added a pair of second-period goals. Zach McNamee (Potash assist) also scored for the Redskins, who led 7-2 after two periods. Szlavik connected for his second goal of the game for the Indians in the period.
Gallagher and Souderton’s Chris Lindsay exchanged goals in the third period for the 8-3 final.
Brian Nelson was credited with 16 saves in goal for the Redskins in the win. Jonathan Pritchard recorded 46 saves in goal for Souderton.

WILLIAM TENNENT 6, ABINGTON 6
In a contest that saw the two teams exchanging goals, Tennent needed a goal in the final minute of the game from Thomas Hartenstein with assists from Johnathan Kreider and Mason McKeever to knot the score 6-6. The Panthers had a lopsided 44-26 advantage in shots, but that advantage was negated by the 38-save effort of Abington goalie Jacob Snellenburg.
The Ghosts led 2-1 after one period, thanks to goals by Perry Carpenter (Joe Stelacio assist) and Ethan Weilheimer (Carpenter assist). Matthew Castan found the net for the Panthers.
Carpenter scored the equalizer 35 seconds into the second period. Mason McKeever answered with a goal for Tennent, using a Bobby Markus assist. That trend continued the remainder of the period. Tommy Rourke connected on a power play goal for the Ghosts, and Nathan Broskley also scored. Zach Devor scored a short-handed goal for the Panthers.
In the third period, Hartenstein scored a power play goal with a McKeever assist to knot the score 5-5. Joe Stelacio (Gavin O’Donnell assist) found the net 12:37 into the period to put the Ghosts on top 6-5, but the Panthers – thanks to Hartenstein’s goals – knotted the score with time winding down.

Aidan Keogh connected for a hat trick and also had a pair of assists. His five-point night led the Colonials, who led from wire to wire.
After one period, the Colonials led 2-0, thanks to goals by Peter Troy (Keogh/Jake Weikel assists) and Keogh (Troy/Spencer Reilly assists). That lead grew to 5-0 after back-to-back-to-back goals in the opening four minutes of the second period. Dean Keller, Troy (Keogh assist) and Keogh each scored single goals in the run before UM/Wood got on the scoreboard on a goal by Tom Hill (Brayden Gyza assist). A goal by Keller sent the Colonials into the final period with a 6-1 lead.
Keogh (Jake Weikel/Luke Weikel assists) and Connor McLaughlin (Keller assist) each scored a single goal to open the third period, giving the Colonials an 8-1 lead before Hill scored his second goal of the night.
PW goal Ben Yuter was credited with 15 saves in the win. His counterpart in goal, Michael DeNardo, recorded 44 saves.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 11, ABINGTON 1
The five-point nights of Dominic Pattrone (two goals, three assists) and Matt Milanesi (one goal, four assists) led the Titans. James Schuler added two goals and two assists for four points.
The Titans took care of business in a hurry, opening up a 6-0 lead after one period. Reis Braccio (Stephen McMillan/Colin Abbonizio assists) scored 5:53 into the game, giving the Titans a lead they would not lose. Braccio scored three goals in the period, collecting a hat trick in the opening 15 minutes of the contest. Ryan Gingras, Dominic Patrone and James Schuler each added a goal in the period.
The Titans upped their lead to 9-0 after goals by Patrone, Schuler and Milansi to open the second period. Perry Carpenter (Gavin O’Donnell assist) put the Ghosts on the board with a goal 10:48 into the period, but Gingras and Brian Keilman answered with goals to bring the game to an early end.
Abbonizio finished the game with three assists and DJ LoVerdi had a pair of helpers.
Mason Moyer recorded five saves in goal in a winning effort for the Titans. Mason Large was credited with 49 saves in goal for the Ghosts.

PENNSBURY 4, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 1
The Falcons broke a 1-1 tie with three unanswered goals in the third period to earn the important win in a battle of teams battling for position in the National Conference.
Erik Eisler’s goal with an assist from Jake Machlovitz 10 minutes into the first period gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead heading into the second period. Rock South’s Jeremy Purcell evened the score when he found the net at the 7:38 mark, using a Logan Hurwitz assist.
The third period was all Pennsbury. Jake Sieger gave the Falcons a lead they would not lose when he found the net 2:14 into the period with assists from Connor Coyne and Edward Bossler. Two minutes later, Jasper Millman scored an insurance goal with a Beau Yedman assist. A late power play goal by Jasper Millman (Beau Yedman/Jake Sieger assists) gave Pennsbury its final margin of victory.
Topher Seiler earned the win in goal for the Falcons, turning away 13 of 14 shots he faced.

WISSAHICKON 14, UPPER DUBLIN 8
For those who enjoy offense – and lots of it, this game was a must-see as the two teams combined for 75 shots and 22 goals. There were bound to be huge offensive performances, and there were.
For the Trojans, Bryan Garry erupted for six goals and also had three assists in a nine-point game. Sean Garry also had a big night, finding the net for three goals and also dishing out four assists.
Ari Nordlinger’s seven-point night (four goals, three assists) led the Flying Cardinals, and Oren Serafin had four goals and one assist for five points.
The two teams combined for a game’s worth of goals in the opening period with the Trojans scoring six times and the Cardinals finding the net twice. It was more of the same in the second as the Trojans added six goals and the Cardinals scored three times, extending Wissahickon’s lead to 12-5.
Also contributing multiple-point games for the Trojans were Alex Carrozza (two goals, one assist), Nicholas Hussa (two goals) and Nolan Ryan (two assists).
