Souderton 8      Archbishop Wood 6
Clay Anders (one goal, four assists) and Alex Politsky (three goals, two assists) both had five-point nights to lead the Indians to the non-conference win. Daniel Rock had a three-point night for the Indians, contributing one goal and two assists.
For the Vikings, Ryan Meinke (three goals, one assist) finished with four points, and Matt Mandes added the hat trick.
Meinke and Souderton’s Connor Walsh exchanged first period goals, and Wood led 3-2 after Mandes sandwiched a pair of goals around a goal by Souderton’s Kyle Milosec early in the second period. Politsky and Anders scored back-to-back goals to put the Indians on top 4-3, but Meinke answered with a goal to make it a 4-4 game heading into the final period.
Souderton opened the period with goals by Rock, Tyler Dipietro and Politsky, but Wood came back with goals by Mandes and Meinke to make it a 7-6 game before Politsky scored a power play goal 11:50 into the period for the 8-6 final.
Souderton held a lopsided 32-15 advantage in shots.

Shawn Phillips connected for the hat trick to lead the Bucks to the win. It was Phillips spotting the Bucks a 1-0 lead with the lone goal of the opening period. Phillips, Will Ross, Eddie Shields and John McCreadie opened the second half with a four-goal spurt to put the Bucks on top 5-0 before Alex Slowik scored for LC to break up the shutout. Another Phillips goal made it a 6-1 game heading into the final period when Joe Nace scored for LC.
The Bucks outshot the Crusaders 28-17.

Zach Davis scored a pair of goals and assisted on two others to lead the Patriots with four points while Sean Parahus and Joe Ridolfi both had three-point nights with one goal and two assists.
The Patriots jumped out to a 3-0 lead, using goals by Ridolfi, Nick Chimera and Davis. The Rams answered with back-to-back goals by Nathan Runk and Aaron Crosson to make it a 3-2 game at the end of one period.
Goals by Davis and Sean Parahus put the Patriots on top 5-2 after two periods, and the Patriots closed it out with goals by Jake Davis and John Hughes in the third period.
The Patriots held a 41-12 advantage in shots. Ram goalie Steven Wilms turned away 34 shots.

The Indians battled back from an early 3-0 deficit, forcing the Redskins to settle for a 3-3 tie.
Ian Dixon put the ‘Skins on the board with a shorthanded goal, and that was followed by goals from Nick Sweeny and Ian Dixon to put the Redskins on top 3-0 less than eight minutes into the game. Mark Tosti scored a late goal to trim that lead to 3-1 at the end of one period.
Colton Snow scored a power play goal in the second period, and Trey Elmer scored the equalizer 14:52 into the final period.
The Redskins held a 39-21 advantage in shots. Rock North’s Kyle McQuillan turned away 36 of them.

William Tennent 3      Upper Moreland 3 (Thursday, Jan. 30)
The Golden Bears rallied for a pair of late goals to eke out a tie with the Panthers in a battle between two of the American Conference’s top squads on Thursday.
The Panthers used an Andrew Bean goal to take a 1-0 lead after one quarter, and that lead grew to 2-0 after a Danny Gatto power play goal. The Golden Bears cut that lead in half when Andy Iehle scored late in the period.
Mike Padgeon put the Panthers on top 3-1 with a goal 7:08 into the final period, but Nick Park and Matthew Iehle answered with back-to-back goals. Iehle scored the equalizer with 30 seconds remaining.
The Panthers held a 35-31 advantage in shots. UM goalie Patrick Beissel turned away 32 shots while CJ Lineman had 28 saves for the Panthers.
