SOL SHSHL Ice Hockey Wrap (12-1-17)

Lower Moreland and CB South were winners in SHSHL action.

LOWER MORELAND 8, UPPER DUBLIN 4
The Flying Cardinals knotted the score 4-4 early in the fourth quarter only to watch the Lions close out the contest with a 4-0 tear. Adam Bostock had a six-point night to lead the Lions, finishing with three goals and three assists.
Bostock put the Lions on the scoreboard just a minute into the game, using a Campbell Manin assist. Three minutes later, Manin scored with assists from Jordan Altman and Bostock before the Cardinals found the net with an Oren Serafin goal (Ari Nordlinger assist).
Nordlinger’s short-handed goal 8:27 into the second period made it a 2-2 game, but the Lions answered with goals by Bostock and Devin Green – both on power plays – to go on top 4-2. Brennan and Adam Bostock both had assists on Green’s goal. Oren Serafin turned a pass from Nordlinger into a goal that made it a 4-3 game heading into the final period.
Serafin’s goal 49 seconds into the third period knotted the score, but not for long. Manin scored the go-ahead goal (Adam Bostock assist) 2:20 into the period, making the beginning of a 4-0 tear that included a goal by Adam Bostock and a pair of Coleman Peppelman goals.
The Lions held a 65-9 advantage in shots, a lopsided advantage that was negated by the 57-save effort of Stephen Sanders.
