SOL SHSHL Ice Hockey Wrap (12-14-17 Additions)

Pennridge, Truman and North Penn were winners in SHSHL action Thursday. Tennent and Neshaminy battled to a tie.

PENNRIDGE 4, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 1
The Rams earned their fourth win of the season without a loss on Thursday night.
Dylan Lowry put the Rams on the scoreboard 7:14 into the opening period with assists from Frankie Rota and Patrick McGinley. The Patriots answered with a goal by Colin Quinn (Elijah Moore assist), knotting the score 1-1 after one period.
Lowry scored a shorthanded goal 7:39 into the second period, using a Frankie Rota assist, to give the Rams a lead they would not lose. Patrick McGinley’s power play goal late in the period sent the Rams into the final period with a 3-1 lead. Michael Eissler found the net in the third period with assists from Blake Stewart and Bryson Egan for the 4-1 final.
Luke Stranick turned away 22 of 23 shots he faced to earn the win in goal for the Rams. East’s Matt Ogonowski recorded 36 saves.

HARRY S TRUMAN 9, UPPER MORELAND 3
Codey Gordon and Robert DiCrosta both had impressive six-point nights to lead the Tigers. Gordon scored four goals and assisted on two others while DiCrosta had two goals and four assists. Cade Gordon also had a big night, finishing with two goals and three assists.
Codey Gordon got the ball rolling, putting the Tigers on the board with an assist from Cade Gordon. Noah Goodson evened the score with a goal for the Golden Bears, but DiCrosta and Codey Gordon (DiCrosta/Cade Gordon assist) answered with goals to put the Tigers on top 3-1. AJ Capobianco (Tyler Cossaboon assist) scored to make it a 3-2 game at the end of one period.
The Tigers reeled off three straight goals in the second period with one goal each from Cade Gordon, William Findlay and DiCrosta (Codey Gordon/Cade Gordon assists). UM’s Aiden Croce scored a late goal to make it a 6-3 game after two periods.
The third period belonged to the Tigers. Codey Gordon scored a pair of goals, both with DiCrosta assists, and Cade Gordon also scored a single goal (DiCrosta/Codey Gordon assist).
Truman goalie Kyle Huth recorded 36 saves in the win while Michael Denardo had 32 saves for the Golden Bears.

Aric Miller’s goal 13:07 into the third period knotted the score 2-2. That score stood until the final whistle as the two teams settled for a tie.
Tennent took a 1-0 lead just over nine minutes into the first period on a goal by Mason McKeever (Chad Cartwright). Joey Buday found the net 10 minutes into the second period, knotting the score with assists from Joey DeMatteo and Thomas Gallagher. Tennent went back on top by one less than a minute later. That lead stood until Miller’s late goal.

NORTH PENN 6, LA SALLE II 1
The Knights rolled to a win over La Salle’s second squad, opening up a 2-0 lead after one period and never looking back.
George Boyle scored a goal and had a pair of assists while Nathan Oh had three assists to lead a balanced Knight attack. Jared Albano had a pair of goals. Andrew Galetta contributed a goal and an assist while Tyler Greenstein and Alex Stevens each added single goals. Jake Nelson chipped in an assist.
