CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 5, PENNSBURY 1
The Bucks continued their string of strong showings in the season’s early weeks, handing the Falcons their first league loss of the season. Jonah Brous was once again outstanding in goal, turning away 28 of 29 shots he faced. Offensively, Patrick Smith and Shawn Philipps both had three-point nights.
The Bucks broke a scoreless tie 12:50 into the opening period on a goal by Philipps (Smith assist). Brous set the tone for the game defensively, turning away all 13 shots sent his way in the period.
Three straight goals by the Bucks to open the second period by Smith (power play with assists from Philipps and Ryan Trefz), Dalton Earl (Eddie Shields assist) and Scotty Cappuccio (Smith assist) gave West a 4-0 lead. The Falcons broke up the Bucks’ shutout bid when Jack Kelly (Luke Ledes assist) scored to close out the second period. John McCreadie’s power play goal (Philipps assist) gave the Bucks their final margin of victory.

WILLIAM TENNENT 5, ABINGTON 3
The Panthers notched their third win without a loss, benefitting from the one-goal, three-assist performance of Mike Padgeon. Alec Dugan added a goal and two assists.
Abington took a 1-0 lead early in the first period on an Alex DeCristofano power play goal (Nicholas Schenk assist). Andrew Bean (Alec Dugan/Padgeon assists) answered for the Panthers.
Padgeon (Bean assist) scored early in the second period, but Abington’s Brian Scipione (DeCristofano assist) knotted the score midway through the period. Dugan (Bean assist) and Bean (Padgeon assist) connected on back-to-back goals to put the Panthers on top 4-2. Aidan Smith (DeCristofano/Brian Scipione assists) scored to close out the period, making it a 4-3 game. Bean’s power play goal with assists from Padgeon and Dugan gave the Panthers their final margin of victory.
Tennent held a 37-31 advantage in shots. Eric Lineman turned away 28 shots for the Panthers while Abington’s Thomas Meehan stopped 32 of 37 shots.

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 5, SOUDERTON 1
The Indians used a balanced attack to earn their first win of the SHSHL season. Johnny Vanni (Connor French/Madison Dwyer assists) gave the Indians a 1-0 lead after one period, and they never looked back.
Goals by Daniel Guest (Madison Dwyer assist) and Cavan Tully sent the Indians into the final period with a 3-0 lead. Back-to-back goals by Zach Herman – the first with an Andrew Speeney assist and the second with assists from Tully and Vanni – made it a 5-0 game before Tyler Johnson put the Indians on the scoreboard with an unassisted goal.
Rock North held a lopsided 36-16 advantage in shots on goal. Goalie Andy Cicconi turned away 15 of Souderton’s shots.

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 8, LOWER MORELAND 4
Christopher Zawislak connected for the hat trick and also had an assist to lead the Colonials while teammate Chris Rinaldi added a goal and two assists.
The Colonials opened up a 4-0 lead after just 6:06 had elapsed. Rinali (Nate Slowik assist) put PW on the board. Andrew Risher (Zawislak/Rinaldi assists) scored two minutes later, and just 13 seconds after Risher’s goal, Jonathan Isely scored to make it a 3-0 game. Zawislak ‘s second goal – this one unassisted – put the Colonials on top 4-0 before Justin Smith scored an unassisted goal to close out the period.
Although it seemed as though the outcome had been all but decided, the Lions had other ideas, scoring three unanswered goals in the second period to knot the score 4-4. Brennan Bostock, Sean Irving (Justin Smith/Campbell Manin assists) and Sam Sauls accounted for the goals.
PW owned the final period. An unassisted goal by Zawislak 3:36 into the final period gave the Colonials a lead they would not lose as they reeled off four unanswered goals.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 8, UPPER DUBLIN 3
Jacob Mueller scored two goals and assisted on another to lead a balanced attack as the Hatters continued their early season roll. The outcome of this game was all but decided when the Hatters reeled off five unanswered goals in the opening period.
Mueller (Nathan Reilly assist) put the Hatters on the scoreboard 26 seconds into the period, and the fun was just getting starter. Brian Conlan and Ryan Sharp (Mueller assist) followed with back-to-back goals, and the Hatters led 3-0 less than two minutes into the game. Goals by Zach Aubry and Jimmy Kuhno (Chris Hammel/Reilly assists) to close out the quarter put the Hatters on top 5-0. They never looked back.
The Hatters held a 35-28 advantage in shots. Goalie Ryan McElroy turned away 25 of 28 shots for the Hatters.
