Friday, Feb. 13.
WILLIAM TENNENT 6, ABINGTON 2
The Panthers opened up an early lead and never looked back on their way to the decisive win over the Ghosts on Friday night. Jack McKeever (two goals, two assists) led the way with a four-point night while Brendan Sherwood (one goal, two assists) had a three-point performance.
First-period goals by Sean Ovington (Chris Kreider assist), McKeever (Charlie Feeney assist) and Bobby Markus (Sherwood/McKeever assists) spotted Tennent a 3-0 lead heading into the second period.
McKeever (Sherwood assist) scored his team’s only goal of the second period to put the Panthers on top 4-0. That lead grew to 6-0 after goals by Sherwood (McKeever assist) and Chris Bremer (John Dern assist) to open the third period.
Abington’s Tommy Carroll (Thomas Penella assist) and Panella (Spencer Heuges/Hayden O’Hara assists) scored late goals to avert the shutout.
Tennent goalie Bryan Davis turned away 17 of 19 shots in the win.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 10, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0
The Bucks used a balanced attack to defeat their neighboring rival on Friday night. Ryan Trefz spent the night setting up his teammates, finishing with six assists. Four players – Tucker Forte, Shawn Philipps, Dalton Carl and John McCreadie – each had three-point nights for the Bucks.
Michael D’Argenio (Trefz/McCreadie assists) and Karl (Trefz/Forte assists) scored first-period goals to give the Bucs an early 2-0 lead. They went on top 5-0 after two periods, thanks to goals by Eric Schwass (McCreadie/Philipps assists), Edward Shields and Forte (Philipps/Trefz assists). Schwass connected on the power play while Forte scored a shorthanded goal in the period.
In the third period, McCreadie (Trefz/D’Argenio assists), Karl (Trefz/Forte assists), Philipps, Joe Anton (Karl/Trefz assists) and Jacob Janik (Michael Samson assist) each scored a goal for the 10-0 final.
West goalie Jonah Brous was credited with nine saves in the shutout win. The Bucks held a 42-9 advantage in shots.

Thursday, Feb. 11
COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 14, LOWER MORELAND 2
The Indians exploded out of the gate for nine first-period goals on their way to the decisive win. Dante Rienzi had a big night for the Indians, finishing with two goals and four assists for six points. John Vanni (four goals), Mark Tosti (three goals, one assist) and Brandon Simmonds (one goal, three assists) each had four-point nights while Ian Rice and Andrew Speeney both contributed three assists to the offensive Indians’ attack.
Jacob Borden (Rienzi assist) and Tosti scored within a 15-second period to put give the Indians a 2-0 lead less than two minutes into the contest. Rienzi (Tosti/Rick assists) connected for his first goal of the night to put the Indians on top 3-0. Vanni had the hat trick in the period, which also included another goal by both Tosti and Rienzi and a single goal by Simmonds. A goal by Coleman Peppelman on the power play (Brennan Bostock assist) put the Lions on the board late in the period.
Second-period goals by Tosti, Vanni, Christian Zemzik, Kameron Bontempo and Jared Epstein closed out the scoring for the Indians. Peppelman added his second goal for the Lions.

Thursday, Feb. 11
HARRY S TRUMAN 7, WISSAHICKON 4
Kyle Bennett and Steve Avellino each contributed two goals and two assists to lead a balanced Tiger attack in Thursday’s win. Ross Koenig added a goal and two assists.
Kyle Bennett put the Tigers on the board with an unassisted goal 2:49 into the opening period, and the Tigers led 2-0 after Zakary Keyser (Avellino/Koenig assists) found the net.
Bennett’s second goal of the night three minutes into the second period with assists from Michael Roarty and Avellino gave the Tigers a 3-0 lead before Andrew Cade (Kyle Wolf assists) put the Trojans on the scoreboard. Avellino scored on a power play with assists from Koenig and Bennett to send Truman into the final period with a 4-1 lead.
That lead grew to 5-1 after a John Saxton goal (Roarty/Bennett assists). Brandon Rosoff broke the Tigers’ run with a goal for the Trojans (Nolan Piatkowski/Tyler Thompson assists). Avellino (Colin Roberts assists) answered for the Tigers before Matt Wilson and Rosoff (Wilson/Piatkowski assists) scored back-to-back goals for the Trojans. A late Koenig goal gave the Tigers their final margin of victory.
Kyle Huth earned the win in goal for the Tigers, turning away 16 shots.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 9, SOUDERTON 0
Three skaters – Thomas Liberta, Connor Matsinger and Joseph DeLaurentis - had three-point nights to lead a balanced Titan attack in Thursday’s shutout win. Aaron King turned away all 10 shots he faced to earn the win in goal.
Matt Stoll (Jackson Koblick assist) scored the only goal King and the Titans would need 6:34 into the opening period, and the Titans led 2-0 after one period, thanks to a late goal by Nick Morelli (Joseph DeLaurentis/Frank Carter assists).
It was still only a 4-0 game heading into the final period, thanks to second period goals by Thomas Liberta (Joseph DeLaurentis assist) and Morelli (Matsinger assist). Liberta’s was a short-handed goal.
The Titans closed it out with five unanswered goals in the third period with Evan King (Alex Rubas/Matsinger assist), Joseph DeLaurentis (Liberta assist), Stoll (Matsinger assist), Koblick (Evan King/Jared Conroy assists) and Morelli (Liberta assist) each scoring single goals.
The Titans held a 46-10 advantage in shots. Joshua Smith was credited with 37 saves for the Indians.

Wednesday, Feb. 10
ARCHBISHOP WOOD 8, NESHAMINY 8
The Redskins scored a pair of late goals to escape with a tie in last Wednesday’s National Conference thriller. Ian Dixon had a five-point night to lead the ‘Skins, finishing with three goals and two assists. Wood was led by the four-goal effort of Timothy Cordero.
Wood appeared to be in command after opening up a 4-1 lead after one period. The Vikings led 4-0 after consecutive goals by Evan Capinas (Declan Cole assist), Cordero, Jonathan Pflugfelder (Patrick Sheehan assist) and Cordero (Brendan Cullura/Sheehan assists). The Redskins got on the board when Anthony Sabatini scored a power play goal 11:19 into the period, using assists from Dixon and Aric Miller.
Wood went on top 5-1 after a Cordero goal with a Sheehan assist. Neshaminy answered with three straight goals that included scores by Dixon (Miller/Nicholas Ruggero assists) and Jake Barcza (Cullura assist). Cordero (Brendan Cullura/Sheehan assists) and Sabatini (Dixon/Miller assists) exchanged late goals to send the Vikings into the third period with a 6-4 lead.
Cullura’s unassisted goal gave the Vikings a three-goal advantage 20 seconds into the final period, but Tyler Norbek (Anthony Blickle assist) and Dixon (Christopher Wojnar assist) both scored for the Redskins to make it a 7-6 game. Cordero scored using a Jonathan Pflugfelder assist midway through the period to give Wood an 8-6 advantage, but Neshaminy used goals by Brandon Kinest (Dixon assist) and Dixon (Chase Jordan/Christian Tomes assists) to knot things up nine minutes into the period. Neither team scored the rest of the way.
The Vikings held a 48-37 edge in shots, an advantage that was negated by the 40-save effort of Redskin goalie Emmett Shanks.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 5, PENNSBURY 3
Four different players contributed goals for the Golden Hawks, who edged the Falcons in a tightly-contest National Conference game last Wednesday.
Jake Sieger (Ryan Mudrick assist) put the Falcons on the board with an early goal, but Dylan Varian (Michael Kauffman assist) knotted the score 5:52 into the opening period. Nathan Raccagno found the net with a late goal, using assists from Jack Kelly and Jake Sieger, to send the Falcons into the second period with a 2-1 lead.
Rock South took a 3-2 advantage after a power play goal by Jay Jenkins (Jack Houk assist) and an even strength goal by Jared Wagenmann (Kauffman assist) within a 63-second span early in the second period. Jack Kelly scored the equalizer with an assist from Eric Fetterolf, but Houk came right back with a goal for the Golden Hawks to make it a 4-3 game heading into the final period.
Varian tacked on an empty net goal (Jenkins assist) to give the Golden Hawks their final margin of victory.
Pennsbury held a 41-37 advantage in shots, but Christian George turned away 38 of those shots to earn the win in goal for the Golden Hawks.
