CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 3
In a battle of SHSHL powers on Friday night, the Panthers used a power play goal by Alec Dugan (Sean Ovington assist) at the 13:07 mark of the third period to knot the score. Neither team scored the rest of the way, and they were forced to settle for a 3-3 tie.
The Bucks struck first when Tucker Forte (Joe Anton assist) found the net less than two minutes into the game. Tennent’s Jack McKeever (Charlie Feeney assist) scored the equalizer late in the period.
Dugan (Ovington/Anthony Anzideo assists) scored the only goal of the second period to send the Panthers into the final period with a 2-1 lead. Jacob Janik (Ryan Trefz assist) knotted the score two minutes into the third period, and Forte scored his second goal of the game 7:12 into the period, this time using a Trefz assist. The Bucks held that 3-2 lead until Dugan delivered his late-game heroics.
West goalie Jonah Brous (36 saves) and Tennent’s Eric Lineman (24 saves) both came up big for their respective teams.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 7, ABINGTON 2
The Golden Hawks raced out of the gate to a 3-0 lead after one period and never looked back on their way to a convincing conference win.
Justin Adams scored an unassisted goal to put the Hawks on the scoreboard five minutes into the game. Goals by Joe Marcella (Jay Jenkins/Jake Houk assists) and Max Bergman (Houk/Jenkins assists) gave the Hawks their 3-0 advantage.
That lead grew to 5-0 after Dylan Varian (Nicholas Meli/Adams assists) and Trey Elmer (Adams assist) scored back-to-back goals to open the second period. Elmer’s goal came on a power play. Spencer Heuges (Perry Carpenter assist) put the Ghosts on the scoreboard with a goal midway through the second period to make it a 5-1 game.
A power play goal by Marcella (Jared Wagenmann/Michael Kauffman assists) in the opening minute of the third period put the Hawks on top 6-1, and they added to that lead when Darren Barder connected on a shorthanded goal, using a Jared Wagenmann assist. Thomas Panella (Tommy Carroll/Nikolai Portner assists) scored a late goal for the Ghosts.
The Golden Hawks held a lopsided 35-8 advantage in shots. Christian George earned the win in goal for the Hawks, turning away six shots.

Thursday, Jan. 28
CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 10, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0
Jackson Koblick scored five goals and assisted on three others to finish with eight points, and teammate Jason Bechtel had three goals and three assists in a six-point effort to lead the Titans to the mercy rule win over their neighboring rivals.
The fun started early for the Titans when Connor Matsinger (Ryan Boylan/Jackson Koblick assists) scored in the opening minute of the first period. Mattsinger’s second goal less than three minutes later – this time with a Matt Stoll assist – made it a 2-0 game. Bechtel (Jared Conroy/Koblick assists) and Nick Morelli (Bechtel/Koblick assists) added back-to-back goals to spot the Titans a 4-0 lead after one period.
In the second period, Koblick, Thomas Liberta, Bechtel, Boylan and Conroy scored unanswered goals to send the Titans into the final period with a 9-0 lead. A goal by Koblick (Liberta/Bechtel assists) brought an early end to the game.
South goalie Kevin Dorozinsky turned away all five shots he face in the shutout win.

PENNSBURY 8, HARRY S TRUMAN 4
Jack Kelly (two goals, three assists) had a five-point night and Nathan Raccagno (two goals, two assists) added four points to lead the Falcons to a win over the Tigers.
Raccagno (Jake Sieger/Kelly assists) found the net 6:22 into the opening period. Back-to-back power play goals by Anthony Bench (Kelly assist) and Adam Shapiro (Ryan Michael assist) were followed by an even strength goal by Jonathan MacBride (Kelly/Griffin Foll assists) to put the Falcons on top 4-0 after one period.
Pennsbury’s lead grew to five when Kelly, using MacBride/Raccagno assists, scored 4:39 into the second period. Truman’s Michael Roarty broke that run with a goal, using assists from William Findlay and Codey Gordon. A goal by Jake Sieger (Ryan Michael assist) gave the Falcons a 6-1 advantage before Roarty (Ross Koenig assist) and Colin Roberts (Kyle Bennett assist) scored for Truman to close out the period, making it a 6-3 game.
A power play goal by Kelly (Raccagno/Michael assists) was followed by a Racagno goal (Adam Shapiro assist) to put the Falcons on top 8-3 before Truman’s Codey Gordon (John Saxton/Cade Gordon assists) found the net with a late goal and the 8-4 final.
August Dous (13 saves) and Trevor Schadler (10 saves) combined for the win in goal for the Falcons, who held a 29-27 advantage in shots.

Wednesday, Jan 27
HARRY S TRUMAN 7, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 3
The Colonials hung tough in Wednesday’s American Conference battle, trailing just 4-3 heading into the final period when the Tigers closed it out with a 3-0 burst.
Christopher Zawislak (Kevin Lawrence assist) gave the Colonials an early 1-0 lead, but it took the Tigers less than a minute to get that goal back as Codey Gordon (Ross Koenig assist) scored the equalizer. PW’s Chris Rinaldi (Peter Troy/Nate Slowik assists) and Truman’s Gordon exchanged goals. The two teams were deadlocked at two each heading into the second period.
Back-to-back goals by William Findlay and Bennett (Roarty assist) put the Tigers on top 4-2, but Rinaldi (Lawrence assist) trimmed that led to one heading into the final period.
Koenig scored a power play goal 1:47 into the final period, using a Bennett assist, and back-to-back goals by Gordon (Bennett assist) and Roarty gave the Tigers their final margin of victory.
Truman held a 32-24 advantage in shots on goal. Kyle Huth turned away 21 shots to earn the win. PW’s Cole Shula was credited with 25 saves.
