ABINGTON 49, BENSALEM 24
Forfeits and a couple of close wins by seniors on Senior Night helped Abington overcome the Bensalem Owls. The Ghosts started out up 12-0 after Bensalem forfeited at 106 and 113, but the Owls quickly evened the meet score after pins at 120 and 126. A major decision at 132 by Austin Hain, a Bensalem forfeit at 138 and a decision by Casey Hesdon at 145 put the Ghosts in the lead 25-12. Bensaem's Dylan Hansbury closed the gap with a first period pin at 152; however, Abington senirs Dan Kiesling, Steven Ingram, Luke Werner, Keshon Guiellmo and James Webb helped the Ghosts pull away for good. Kiesling started the winning run with a pin at 160 and Ingram followed up with a 3-2 win at 170 after being able to avoid a takedown in the waning seconds of the bout. By far, the most exciting match of the evening came at 182 when Abington's Luke Werner scored a takedown at the end of regulation to tie his match up and then seal the win with a takedown in sudden victory. Guiellmo and Webb finished the scoring for the Ghosts with pins at 195 and 220 respectively.
