Sterling Limo Players of the Game (Wk 15)

Sterling Limousine and Transportation Services of Wrightstown is proud to recognize the Players of the Game for SOL teams that are part of each week’s SuburbanOneSports.com’s Featured Games. During the postseason, Sterling Limo will recognize Players of the Game for the winning teams.

#1 COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH vs. #11 NORTH PENN (North Penn 34, CR South 14)
Sterling Limousine Offensive Player of the Game – James Fielder, North Penn
The Knights’ senior fullback, who was on the field for every offensive play, ran for 38 yards and had a pair of catches for 24 yards. When he wasn’t getting touches on the football, Fielder was blocking for his teammates.
North Penn coach Dick Beck says:  “He ran for the tough yardage – second-and-long plays we hit trap on him that put us in some third-and-shorts. He made a play on a screen pass where he broke a tackle, gained about 10 yards and got a first down, and his blocking is where you want it to be all the time.”

Sterling Limousine Defensive Player of the Game – Josh Cook, North Penn
Cook had seven solo tackles from the defensive tackle position in a contest that saw the Knights’ defense control the line of scrimmage. He also recovered a fumble.
North Penn coach Dick Beck says:  “Their coach said it the best - those D-tackles, he and Derek Brandt, were just beating blocks and making plays. We’ve had Josh play some defensive end, but he’s more of a natural D-tackle.”

Sterling Limousine Special Teams Player of the Game – Louis Dickinson, North Penn
Dickinson, a standout on special teams all season, had several big hits in Friday’s game, and it was Council Rock’s attempted block of Dickinson on a Knight punt that led to a Golden Hawk fumble. The Knights turned that fumble into a touchdown and a 21-0 lead.
North Penn coach Dick Beck:  “He doesn’t start for us on defense or offense, so he comes into the game fresh, and he plays with reckless abandon. He had two big hits in Friday’s game, and he was the guy that the Council Rock kid was trying to block and ran into his own punt returner.”
