Sterling Limo Players of the Game (Wk 8)

Sterling Limousine and Transportation Services of Wrightstown is proud to recognize the Players of the Game for SOL teams that are part of each week’s SuburbanOneSports.com’s Featured Game(s).

NORTH PENN at PENNRIDGE (Pennridge 28, North Penn 21)
Sterling Limousine Offensive Player of the Game – Kyle Bigam, Pennridge
The Rams’ senior captain had himself quite a night. He not only intercepted a pass, made hard hits on defense, returned a punt 35 yards and delivered a 24-yard touchdown run, it was Bigam’s dazzling one-handed grab of a 39-yard touchdown pass that propelled the Rams’ to the electrifying win.
Coach Randy Cuthbert says:  “His TD is now referred to as ‘the catch.’ He has been a great complement to Mike Class and keeps coming up huge for us as a blocker, receiver and runner.”

Sterling Limousine Defensive Player of the Game – Jeremy Xander, Pennridge
The senior defensive back led the team in tackles. He also had a sack and two interceptions, including one to close out the game.

Coach Randy Cuthbert says:  “He was all over the field and gave us a lift every time we needed it on defense.”

Sterling Limousine Special Teams Player of the Game – Kiefer Brown, Pennridge
The senior defensive back was once again a force on special teams for the Rams.
Coach Randy Cuthbert says:  “He was solid on special teams and did a nice job of handling North Penn’s short kickoffs.”

CHELTENHAM at UPPER MORELAND (Upper Moreland 28, Cheltenham 21)
Sterling Limousine Player of the Game – Robert Knox, Upper Moreland
The senior standout, who rushed for 110 yards, scored in just about every way imaginable. He hauled in a 15-yard touchdown reception, and then, after intercepting a
pass at the Cheltenham 38 and returning it to the two, he took it in from two yards out. His final TD came on a 72-yard punt return.
Coach Dave Heying says:  “He’s a good football player. He has
been playing really hard – a lot of guys have, but he’s definitely taken it up a notch. He makes big plays when we need him to.”

Sterling Limousine Offensive Player of the Game – Charlie Hooker, Upper Moreland
The senior quarterback completed 10-of-17 passes for 101 yards and threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Robert Knox.
Coach Dave Heying says:  “Charlie has to do a lot. He has to step up if we’re going to go as far as we want to go. The last couple of weeks, a lot of teams have tried to stop the run, and we need him to be able to throw the ball and keep the teams honest. Charlie has to make the right reads and deliver the ball. He has all the physical tools. We just need him to execute. We wouldn’t have beaten Cheltenham if he hadn’t stepped up and delivered the ball, especially in that third quarter. He was on the money and hit about four passes in a row. The last one was to Knox for a touchdown, and that gave us the momentum.”

Sterling Limousine Lineman of the Game – Evyn Stadulis, Upper Moreland
The senior lineman was a force on both sides of the football, anchoring the offensive line at right guard and the defensive line at nose guard.
Coach Dave Heying says:  “He really helped control the defensive line of scrimmage for us, and offensively, he helped us move the ball.”
