STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo Offensive Players of the Game:
First star:  Joel Stillings, Neshaminy –
The senior running back returned the opening kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown and also had 236 rushing yards and one touchdown in Neshaminy’s 48-27 win over Bensalem.
Coach Steve Wilmot says:  “Joel has been very good on kickoff returns all year. Kickoff returns are something we work very hard on – it’s not an area that gets overlooked. It’s something that’s game planned for every single week, and we’re lucky to have Joel and even Marcus Griffin, who is our other return back, because any time those two touch the ball, there’s a chance to be a touchdown.
“Joel, at the end of the day, is a very good football player. He has a lot of natural instincts out there. He hasn’t played running back since eighth grade, and as the season progressed, he’s gotten better and better, working on his pad level, working on securing the ball. If you give him some room to navigate out there, he can definitely turn on the jets and go. Savion Hebron is the same way – you give him some green grass, and it’s all over.
“The way we have our running backs – we’re trying to match our running backs with our personnel and do with them what suits them best, and Joel has taken to that. He only has two or three things he has to do, and he’s learning to do them very well.”

Second star: Mitchell Vierling, William Tennent –The senior quarterback threw for 343 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in a standout performance, singlehandedly keeping William Tennent in its 35-26 loss to Pennridge.

Third star: Darryl Davis McNeil, Abington – The senior running back had his third straight game of more than 200 yards rushing, carrying the ball 42 times for 219 yards and both of the Ghosts’ touchdowns in Abington’s 14-0 win over Harry S Truman.

Third star: Evan O’Donnell, Central Bucks East – The junior quarterback completed 13-of-20 passes for 263 yards and four touchdowns in Central Bucks East’s 47-21 win over Council Rock North. With his four TD passes, O’Donnell tied the school record for the second time.

Sterling Limo Defensive Players of the Game:
First star:  Matt Tobey, Central Bucks South –
The junior linebacker anchored a stingy Titan defense in Central Bucks South’s 21-20 win over Central Bucks West, finishing with 11 tackles, which included two sacks and two tackles for a loss.
Coach Tom Hetrick says:  “He’s just been getting better every single week. He just makes football plays. He spent a lot of time on the offensive side of the ball as well, so he was on the field probably 80 percent of the night in two pretty important positions. He was our H-back and our linebacker. He just gutted it out the whole night and made some big plays for us on both sides of the ball.”

First Star: Cole Kitchen, Upper Moreland – The hard-hitting senior safety had 12 tackles to lead a stellar defensive effort in Upper Moreland’s 35-14 win over Quakertown in a battle for the top spot in the SOL American Conference. His big stop of a Panther wide receiver on a third down play during a key stretch in the second half was a game changer. He also plays wide receiver and had four receptions for 66 yards.
Coach Adam Beach says: "The best thing about Cole is he sees it and he goes. There's no hesitation. He's playing at such a high level because he's not thinking, he's just reacting. He's got tremendous speed, and he knows how to hit. He's flying around the field making all kinds of plays.
"He actually was playing inside linebacker on that (stop) because we wanted to get more speed on the field, and he ran through two different guys' zone to get that kid on the sideline. The kid caught the ball, turned around and there he was. If that's not seeing it and going, I don't know what is. That's why I put him in there. Then he's playing safety, and they had a couple of runs up the middle where it was him and their guys - they have some good runners, and he got them on the ground. He made a lot of big saving tackles for us. We move him around, and he's making big plays wherever he's at. He sees it and he goes."

Second star: Jackson Taylor & Keith Hudoka, Abington –Both delivered defensive plays that resulted in touchdowns in Abington’s 14-0 win over Harry S Truman. Taylor intercepted a pass that led to a 61-yard touchdown run by Darryl Davis-McNeil, and Hudoka came up with a fumble also led to a touchdown. They anchored a defense that allowed less than 150 yards of total offense.

Third star:  Trent Petro, Central Bucks East – The senior defensive tackle had seven tackles – three for a loss – in Central Bucks East’s 47-21 win over Council Rock North.

Third star:  Ryan Rapp, Pennridge – The Rams’ defensive end had six tackles, which included a pair of sacks and two tackles for a loss, in Pennridge’s 35-26 win over William Tennent.

Sterling Limo Special Teams Players of the Game:
First star: Kelly Macnamara, North Penn –
The senior placekicker accounted for 17 points in North Penn’s 47-20 win over Souderton – 14 in the first half. Macnamara connected on field goals of 20, 34, 36 and 37 yards and was a perfect 5-for-5 on extra points.
Coach Dick Beck says:  “She has been very consistent, especially on field goals. She’s 8-for-9 this season, and the only field goal she’s missed all year was blocked. She’s only missed three extra points this season (35-of-38) and two of them have been blocked. She’s been very solid, and she’s done a great job kicking off – she’s done a lot of different kinds of pooching and kicking it deep and done an excellent job helping us out there too. She’s been such an asset to our special teams besides being such a great kid.”

First star:  Ben Ejimonyeugwo & Calvin Broaddus, Hatboro-Horsham – After Ejimonyeugwo returned the opening kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown, Broaddus returned a punt 82 yards for a touchdown, giving the Hatters a 14-0 lead before they took one offensive snap on their way to a 49-28 win over Plymouth Whitemarsh. Broaddus returned another kickoff for an 85-yard touchdown in the second quarter and also had one catch for eight yards. Eimonyeugwo also had three receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Coach Mike Kapusta:  “They also both blocked with great effort.”

Second star:  Justin Johnson, Upper Moreland – The Golden Bears’ punter averaged 48 yards on a pair of punts in Upper Moreland’s 35-14 win over Quakertown. He has helped the Bears flip the field in close games all year.
