Sterling Limousine and Transportation Services
PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo SOL Player of the Week
Charles Snorweah, Pennsbury –
The senior running back had 433 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in a brilliant performance in Pennsbury’s 63-55 win over Downington West in an opening round district game. The Rutgers-bound standout’s numbers would have been even more staggering if another 50-yard touchdown run had not wiped out because of a holding penalty.
Coach Galen Snyder says:  “Charles has a lot of ability, and he’s a really good player. I think we have a really good offensive line in front of him, so you put those two things together, and that’s what you get. The boys all stepped up and did what they needed to do.”

Sterling Limo Offensive Players of the Week
John Lee & Kaleif Lee, Upper Dublin –
The duo has been a deadly one-two punch for the Flying Cardinals. In Upper Dublin’s 48-14 win over Council Rock North in an opening round district game, they combined for 331 yards. Senior John Lee had 174 yards on 17 carries while junior Kaleif Lee had 157 yards and four touchdowns on just 11 carries.
Coach Bret Stover says: “They have done it all year for us. For John Lee to have a game like that in his last home game – that’s a special memory I’m sure he will have with him forever. Kaleif has had a nose for the end zone of late, and we hope it continues.”

Sterling Limo Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Tyler Kishbaugh, Quakertown –
The senior defensive back had a pair of interceptions, including an interception in the closing moments of Quakertown’s 14-10 win over Pennridge. He also had three solo tackles and two assisted tackles as well as a fumble recovery. On the offensive side of the football, he hauled in a touchdown pass for the game-winning score.

Coach George Banas says:  “Tyler is an extremely hard worker and deserved to have the best game of his career in the biggest game in Quakertown’s history. He is just a super nice kid who always does the right thing and says the right things. I am proud to have him represent our team as a captain.”

Sterling Limo Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Nick Monastero, Upper Merion –
The senior defensive back had a pair of interceptions, including a pick six late in the game that sealed Bensalem’s fate in Upper Merion’s 27-13 win on Friday night. He also had nine tackles – three for a loss – and one sack in a dominant effort.
Coach Harold Smith says:  “With all the injuries we went through this year, Nick has always been there for us. He is a team leader and makes big plays for us when needed. Nick is a tenacious football player and always gives us everything he has on every play. He’s a very physical football player who is always around the ball.”

Sterling Limo Special Teams Player of the Week
Stacey Gardner, Upper Dublin –
The junior linebacker turned a fake punt into a 53-yard touchdown run that sent the Flying Cardinals into halftime of Friday’s 48-14 win over Council Rock North with a 28-0 lead.
Coach Bret Stover says:  “Stacey Gardner called that fake punt on his own. Our punt team coordinator Eric Taylor works with the team on fakes every week, but Stacey pulled the trigger on that one himself. Stacey did an unselfish act by moving from fullback to center for the good of the team this season, and I’m very happy for him that he was able to find the end zone of that play. It was a backbreaker.”

SuburbanOneSports.com Honor Roll:
Shane Hammer, Norristown, connected on what is believed to be a school record 45-yard field goal in the Eagles’ 38-10 loss to Methacton.
Kori Smith, Upper Merion, returned a kickoff 84 yards for a touchdown in Upper Merion’s 27-13 win over Bensalem.
Luke Snyder, Pennsbury, found himself in the role of blocking back since two of the Falcons’ running backs were sidelined with injuries. The standout linebacker played a key role in Snorweah’s big night in Pennsbury’s 63-55 win over Downingtown West.
Joe Unangst, Pennridge, rushed for 231 yards and a touchdown in the Rams’ 14-10 loss to Quakertown.
Alec Vera, Quakertown, was 5-for-10 for 89 yards and both of his team’s touchdowns in the Panthers’ 14-10 win over Pennridge. He also had nine carries for 48 yards.
