STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo Offensive Players of the Game:
First star: Evan O’Donnell, Central Bucks East –
The senior quarterback accounted for 308 yards of total offense in Central Bucks East’s 35-34 loss to Pennsbury. O’Donnell completed 17-of-23 passes for 257 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown.
Coach John Donnelly says:  “Evan made some big plays with his arm and feet, especially in the second half.  He would be the first to tell you that his teammates were highly involved in making that success a reality.  The O-line protected and receivers made the receptions, but he put the ball in some tight windows where only our guys could make the play.  Of course, there are always some throws you want back.  Overall, Evan and the team showed tremendous grit fighting back two times from a 14-point deficit in the second half to be in a position to win the game.”

Second star: Selvin Haynes, Upper Dublin - The senior captain had five receptions for 88 yards and three touchdowns in Upper Dublin’s 34-7 win over Hatboro-Horsham.

Third star:  Shamar Edwards, North Penn – The senior running back ran for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns in North Penn’s 42-20 win over Pennridge.

Sterling Limo Defensive Players of the Week
First star:  Matt Norris, Central Bucks South – The senior linebacker had 16 tackles – 13 solo, including two tackles for a loss and a sack as well as a forced fumble in Central Bucks South’s 27-21 win over Central Bucks West.
Coach Tom Hetrick says:  “In the first three games of the season, he had very solid games, but it was in the West game, he was the presence we were used to seeing on the field. He was everywhere. He had a couple of crazy splash plays. The forced fumble was him trailing a guy from behind and hitting him unexpectedly and popping the ball out. It was just a freakish play, but the biggest play he made all night was their first-and-goal from the 10 going in for the game-winning score, and he dropped their quarterback for a nine-yard loss. Now, they’re second-and-19, and we’re in our base defense. That was a huge play. We talked about – we have to make exciting things happen, and on the defensive side of the ball, he did that a lot of the night.”

Second star: Council Rock South Defensive Line (Defensive ends TJ Pritz & Nick Gallo, Defensive tackles – Shamir Parker and Shemar Mills) – The defensive line set the tone on a night that saw the Golden Hawks stymie a potent Tiger offense in Council Rock South’s 20-6 win over Harry S Truman.

Third star: RJ Macnamara, North Penn - The  junior linebacker had a pair of sacks and a tackle for a loss, igniting the defense in North Penn’s 42-20 win over Pennridge.

Sterling Limo Special Teams Player of the Week
First star: Justin Grady, Cheltenham – The senior kicker was a difference maker in Cheltenham’s 17-7 win over Norristown. He had four touchbacks on four kickoffs, he connected on a 33-yard field goal and he averaged 53.5 yards on four punts.
Coach Ryan Nase says:  "
Grady might have helped us win this game more than any kicker or punter has helped us win a game before. And he absolutely hawked one of their punt returners to make a touchdown-saving tackle. You name it – he did it."

First star:  Amir Bookard, Hatboro-Horsham – The senior kick returner returned a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown for his team’s lone score in Hatboro-Horsham’s 34-7 loss to Upper Dublin. For the game, he had three returns for 149 yards.
Coach Mike Kapusta says:  “Amir had an explosive breakout performance on special teams. The kickoff and punt return units gave good efforts blocking, giving Amir enough space to showcase his speed, vision, and elusiveness. He also had a long punt return negated by a penalty.”

Third star: Jon Haynes, North Penn – The senior standout, who contributed on both sides of the football, returned a punt 76 yards for a touchdown in North Penn’s 42-20 win over Pennridge.

Kobe Gaskins, Dean Kelly, Brent Flynn, Billy Everitt, TJ Allen and Tom Lukens) – The Ghosts’ offensive line paved the way for 362 rushing yards in Abington’s 41-10 win over Bensalem.
