STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo Offensive Players of the Game:
First star: Sterlen Barr, Upper Moreland –
The Golden Bears’ senior running back tore up the Colonials’ defense for 370 yards and four touchdowns in Upper Moreland’s 41-7 win over Plymouth Whitemarsh.

Coach Adam Beach says:  “PW was putting some pressure on us, and they had some negative plays, but once Sterlen passed the line of scrimmage, he just accelerated and outran everyone to the end zone. His first touchdown was with about two minutes to go in the first half and the ball was on our own five. My thinking was, ‘I’m going to give Barr the ball and see what happens because if he gets loose he can go,’ and there we are watching him run down the field. I think (370 yards) has got to be a record.
“We have two very good running backs – Caleb Mead and Sterlen Barr. They both run track, they’re both fast, and they both trained a lot in the offseason. They both have some power to them, and they both have over 500 yards and we’ve only played four games. It’s great to have kids like that who can run the ball. To have two of them, we’re certainly blessed, and we’re going to ride them as far as we can.”

Second star: Brady Prezelski, Central Bucks South – The Titans’ junior wide receiver, who had just 40 yards receiving through three games, had a breakout performance in Central Bucks South’s 38-29 win over Central Bucks East, hauling in four passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns.

Third star:  AJ Catanzaro, North Penn – In a contest that saw the SOL’s top receiver – Justis Henley – lining up behind center at quarterback, AJ Catanzaro gave the Knights a lift with two huge touchdown receptions in the first half of North Penn’s 28-14 win over Central Bucks West. Catanzaro’s TD receptions – the first for 24 yards and the second for 15 – sent the Knights into halftime with a 21-0 lead.

Sterling Limo Defensive Players of the Game:
First star:  Harry S Truman defense (Gabe Gipli, Dan Aquilone, Mike Nicholson, Tyrone Willis, Habeeb Baba, Shakell Hall, Martin Dormah, James Koliyah, Chris Andreacchio, Mutah Walton and Javeer Peterson) –
The Tigers’ defense posted its third shutout in four games in Truman’s 42-0 win over Council Rock South, allowing just 146 total yards and never allowing the Golden Hawks to get anything going offensively.
Coach Mike LaPalombara says:  “They came up with another strong effort to shut out CR South. Gabe Gipli, Dan Aquilone, Mike Nicholson, Tyrone Willis, Habeeb Baba, Shakell Hall, Martin Dormah, James Koliyah, Chris Andreacchio, Mutah Walton and Javeer Peterson are committed to playing a hard-nosed style of team defense.”

First star:  Matt Weisberg, Jack Ferguson, Evan Exner, Austin Bishop and Chris Feralio, Pennridge – The quintet of Ram defensive players combined for 11 tackles for a loss and seven sacks in Pennridge’s 34-3 win over Souderton in a contest that saw the Indians manage just 98 total yards – eight rushing yards.

Second star:  Noah Collachi, Central Bucks South – The senior defensive lineman was the glue that held the Titans’ defense together in their 38-29 win over Central Bucks East, finishing the game with seven tackles – including 2.5 for a loss – and 1.5 sacks. The Patriots had just 180 yards total offense – 18 net yards on the ground.
