STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo Offensive Players of the Game:
First star:  Evan O’Donnell, Chris Lochetta, Central Bucks East –
O’Donnell shattered East’s record for passing yards in a single game in the Patriots 35-14 win over William Tennent, completing 18-of-25 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns. Lochetta broke the program’s record for receiving yards in a game, hauling in five passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns.
Coach John Donnelly says:  “The entire offense had a good night, but it was record setting for Chris and Evan. They are close friends, they live in the same neighborhood, and there is something to be said about the chemistry that exists between them.  Evan spreads the ball around and has an equally strong connection with Jake Novroski who also had over 100 yards receiving last week.  Evan and Chris are fantastic young men.  Always positive!”

First star:  Malik Bootman, Upper Dublin – The senior running back carried the Flying Cardinals on his back, rushing for 182 yards on 30 carries. He scored all four of his team’s touchdowns as the Cardinals opened up a 28-15 lead after three quarters, but they couldn’t hold on, falling 34-28 in overtime to Quakertown.
Coach Bret Stover says:  “Considering the heat conditions on the field, Malik's 30 carries, 181 yard and four TD performance was incredible. We kept checking on him and he kept saying, ‘I'm good coach, give me the ball.’ A true leader by example for our program.”

Second star: Owen Thomas, North Penn – With the SOL’s top receiver, Justis Henley, slowed by an injury and seeing limited time, the Villanova-bound senior came up big in North Penn’s 45-35 win over Pennridge with five receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown.

Third star: Brendan Olexa, Upper Moreland – The Golden Bears’ quarterback threw for 164 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions in Upper Moreland’s 41-40 win over Hatboro-Horsham. Olexa’s 13-yard touchdown run late in the game broke a 34-34 tie and gave the Bears a 41-40 lead.

Sterling Limo Defensive Players of the Game:
First star:  Nick Levinski, Quakertown –
The Panthers’ junior linebacker had a hand in 18 tackles – 11 solo and seven assisted - in a dominant performance in Quakertown’s 34-28 overtime win over Upper Dublin. Levinski came up with the stop on fourth-and-goal from the two-yard line in overtime to clinch the win. He also caught the game-tying touchdown in the game’s closing second after switching from offensive tackle to tight end.
Coach George Banas says:  “Nick is a throwback football player in that he loves to hit, practice and study the game.  Nick is like having a coach on the field as he understands what we want from our defense.  Nick has shown his leadership on and off the field.  One such way is his willingness to change positions for the betterment of the team.  I am extremely happy to have Nick back at linebacker this year and leading our defense throughout the season.”

Second star:  Oleh Manczyk, Neshaminy – The junior linebacker anchored a standout defensive effort with seven tackles – including two for a loss, one sack and one fumble recovery in Neshaminy’s 56-7 win over Harry S Truman.

Third star:  Nick Tarburton, Pennridge – The Penn State-bound linebacker had eight tackles – two for a loss – and two sacks in Pennridge’s 45-35 loss to North Penn. He also had 62 yards rushing and two touchdowns on offense.

Coach Jeff Hollenbach says:  “Ryan is doing an excellent job on offense, defense and special teams. Last Saturday against North Penn with the score 42-28 in the fourth quarter, Ryan had a beautiful 94-yard kickoff return to get the game back to within one touchdown.”

Second star: Emmanuel Ampofo, Neshaminy:  The junior linebacker recovered a fumble and returned it for a touchdown on the kickoff team in Neshaminy’s 56-7 win over Harry S Truman.
