STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo Offensive Player of the Week:

Mike Slivka, Upper Dublin – The junior quarterback was a difference maker in Upper Dublin’s 35-28 win over West Chester Rustin in the District One 5A title game, completing 11-of-16 passes and throwing for one touchdown for a quarterback rating of 132.3. He also had 38 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Coach Bret Stover says:  “Mike had the kind of night every quarterback dreams of in a big game. Mike showed the poise of a veteran signal caller and did so under extreme weather conditions. Mike has made huge strides this fall. In the most pressure-packed situation at the end of the game, Mike changed our play call to a pass and completed it to Dylan Zlotnikoff, which enabled us to get that one first down we needed and were able to run out the clock. Pretty impressive.”

Sterling Limo Defensive Player of the Week

Logan Heim, Upper Dublin – The junior middle linebacker led the defense on the tackle chart with three solo tackles and eight assists, including three straight tackles at the end of the game when West Chester Rustin had the ball first-and-goal from the six-yard line in Upper Dublin’s 35-28 win.

Coach Bret Stover says:  “This is the first year in 11 years that the middle linebacker for us didn’t have the last name Winebrake. All three of the Winebrakes were real good. Logan has come a long way since our opener vs Norristown. He was lost trying to play linebacker. Well, he’s certainly not lost anymore. Coaches Taylor and Sowers have really taught him how to play the position of middle linebacker. He has been our leading tackler in eight of 13 games. I love the way he wants to make the tackle on every play. We are excited he will be back next year to lead our defense.”
