STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORATION
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo SOL Offensive Player of the Week
Justin Hill, Springfield Spartans – Hill fueled the high octane Springfield offense in a 34-20 ‘upset’ victory over Wissahickon.  The senior quarterback exploded for 332 yards of total offense – 217 rushing yards and 115 passing yards – and was involved in all five Spartan touchdowns.
Coach Chris Shelly says:  “Justin is a first-time quarterback who learned to run the triple option in months where it takes most kids years.  Justin continues to getter better and better at every practice and every game. He is a terrific athlete and very intelligent player who has become a great leader for us.  He also plays with a ‘chip on his shoulder,’ which epitomizes our team.  Combined with Brett Righter and Nigel Fox, we can't ask for better captains!”

Sterling Limo SOL Defensive Player of the Week
Dontae Stewart, North Penn Knights – Stewart played an outstanding game at linebacker as North Penn shut down a potent Pennridge offense in a 31-7 victory. The Knights limited the Rams to 149 total yards – 62 passing and 87 rushing. The inside linebacker has been a catalyst for the Knights’ defense, winning defensive player of the game honors in three out of the team’s four games and averaging six solo tackles a contest. He had six solo tackles and one assist in Friday’s win over the Rams.
Coach Dick Beck says:  “Dontae is undersized – he’s only around 5-7, 180 pounds, but he has great lateral movement. I think he kind of hides in there, so he’s hard to find if he shoots through the hole. Any time they ran up the middle – if he wasn’t making the hit, he was the next guy in. With Dontae, he has the body of a cornerback, but he’s got more of a linebacker mentality with his toughness and his aggressiveness.”

Sterling Limo Continental Conference Player of the Week
Eddie Shields, Central Bucks West Bucks– Shields passed for 260 yards and four touchdowns as the Bucks captured a 31-28 overtime victory over Norristown.  The senior quarterback completed 10-of-16 passes and fired three touchdown passes to Kevin O’Hanlon.
Coach Chas Cathers says: “Eddie had a nice game for us on Thursday. I thought he did a great job and really was a key performer in our late-in-the-game push. Eddie has a phenomenal work ethic. Each practice he strives to get better, and he really works himself, and that in itself really pushes the rest of the team because he’s setting an example for the rest of the team. He’s a guy that consistently improves, he’s a competitor, and we’re really happy to have him as a leader on our football team.”

Sterling Limo American Conference Player of the Week
Casey Walsh, Hatboro-Horsham Hatters – Walsh added to his impressive 2015 passing resume as the Hatters topped rival Upper Moreland 20-13 to collect their first win of the season.  The senior completed 11 passes for 164 yards and a touchdown – and also rushed for two scores in the win. Walsh put his name in the record books in the Hatters’ win as he became the school’s all-time leader in passing yards, eclipsing the previous mark of 3,891 held by Duncan Swezey with 4,049 yard.
Coach Michael Kapusta say:  "Casey is an intense competitor. Against Upper Moreland, he made big plays with his arm and with his running ability. At the biggest moments, he stepped up and delivered. He's worked very hard throughout his career to become the player he is today, and most importantly, he has a team-first attitude. He is willing to do anything that is asked of him in an effort to win the game and he always gives credit to his teammates for his individual accomplishments."
Sterling Limo National Conference Player of the Week
Parker Minotti, Neshaminy Redskins –
Minotti – who plays quick side guard - helped open huge holes all evening as the Redskins routed Abington 47-7.  The senior lineman helped Neshaminy ‘ground and pound’ for a staggering 393 yards against the Ghosts.

Coach Steve Wilmot says: “Parker is just a very diligent, hard working person. No one wants to do a better job than he does. He just has a lot of desire to be very good, he’s a hard worker, and he tries to soak in as much information as he can. Physically, he’s a good looking kid – he’s 6-3, 215 pounds, and he’s very, very athletic for his position. He’s a terrific kid on top of that. His number one goal is to attend West Point.”

Rob Burns, Quakertown Panthers – Burns rushed for 242 yards and five touchdowns – all in the first half – as the Panthers roared to a 56-7 victory over William Tennent.
