Sterling Limo Suburban One League Offensive Player of the Week
Ryan Stover, Upper Dublin – Stover had his biggest statistical outing of the season in the biggest game of the year for the Cardinals in a 42-0 SOL American Conference victory over host Plymouth Whitemarsh.  Stover fired a career-high five touchdown passes – all to different receivers – and also scored a rushing touchdown.  Stover completed 17 0f 24 passes for 219 yards and ran for 81 more yards to fuel the potent Upper Dublin offense.
Coach Bret Stover says:  “Ryan worked hard this offseason to improve as a runner. This hard work has shown up on the field, making him more of a dual threat quarterback this season.”

National Conference

Sterling Limo SOL National Conference Offensive Player of the Week
Mike Alley, Pennsbury – Alley directed the Falcon offense in their biggest win of the season as PHS defeated host Pennridge 38-32.  Alley converted on a decisive fourth down in the final period to seal the victory.  Alley concluded the game as the leading rusher with 169 yards and one touchdown. He also threw for a pair of touchdowns.
Coach Galen Snyder says:  “Mike’s done a real nice job. He’s provided leadership, he runs the ball well, and when he has the opportunity to pass, he’s real efficient and takes advantage of those opportunities. He’s done a real nice job for us.”

Continental Conference

Sterling Limo SOL Continental Conference Defensive Player of the Week
Thomas Hewitt, Council Rock North – Hewitt was a dominant force for an Indian defense that enabled Rock North to capture a key 34-15 SOL Continental Conference victory over Truman.  Hewitt recorded 10 tackles – three for losses – registered two sacks – and blocked a punt to highlight the defensive effort.
Coach Adam Collachi says:  “He had an amazing performance this past weekend. He dominated the second half of the game – he made a huge stop on third down and then blocks a punt.  He was a true difference maker.  He’s a team captain as well who made sure he stepped up as a leader of the defense and made plays to help us win a very important football game.”

American Conference

Sterling Limo SOL American Conference Defensive Players of the Week
Upper Dublin, defense – Upper Dublin limited the explosive PW offense to 160 yards total offense and shut out the Colonials 42-0 in the SOL American ‘showdown’ last week.  The Cardinals recorded five sacks – recovered three fumbles – and intercepted a pass in the game.

Brandon McIlwain, Council Rock North – McIwain – despite a thumb injury that prevented him from throwing the ball – had 26 carries for 170 yards and scored four touchdowns to lead the Indians to a 34-15 win over Truman.
Rob Burns, Quakertown – Burns rushed for a game-high 226 yards on 20 carries and scored three touchdowns to fuel the Q-town offense in the Panthers’ 28-7 win over Central Bucks West.
David Kretscham, Abington – Kretscham completed 21 passes for 214 yards and four touchdowns as the Ghosts were defeated by Central Bucks South 34-25.
Alex Gibson, Central Bucks East – Gibson carried the ball 31 times for 131 yards – scored three rushing touchdowns – and caught a touchdown pass as the Patriots marched to a 37-20 victory over Norristown.
Rodney Morgan, Upper Moreland – Morgan rushed for a game-high 149 yards and scored a touchdown as the Golden Bears edged Upper Merion 22-21.
Vance Haffner, Bensalem – Haffner rushed for a team-high 129 yards and scored two touchdowns as the Owls were defeated by North Penn 55-20.
Brandon Crews, Hatboro-Horsham – Crews caught four passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns as the Hatters topped Wissahickon 42-20.
