STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORATION
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo Suburban One League Player of the Week
Nafeese Nasir, Plymouth Whitemarsh – Nasir kept the Colonials in the district playoff conversation with a spectacular outing in a ‘must-win’ 31-28 victory over Hatboro-Horsham.  Nasir gouged the Hatter defense for 350 rushing yards and scored four touchdowns on 31 carries from scrimmage.  Nasir played the game at less than 100 percent after suffering an injury against Upper Moreland two weeks ago – and after being pulled in the final quarter in the Colonials loss to Upper Dublin the following week.
Coach Dan Chang says:  “Nafeese is a great competitor who will do whatever it takes to win.  He has great vision and has a tremendous burst of speed to get through a hole.  He has both game-breaking speed and can break tackles.  He gains a lot of his yardage after contact.”

Sterling Limo SOL Continental Conference Players of the Week
Blake Gular, Jamar White, Koby Khan – Souderton – The Big Red running backs were collectively unstoppable accumulating a total of 429 yards rushing and six touchdowns in Souderton’s thrilling 42-41 victory over Abington.  Gular rushed for a game-high 158 yards and three touchdowns, White rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns, and Khan rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown.
Coach Ed Gallagher says:  “We entered this season very optimistic with the return of all three starting running backs. On Friday night against Abington, they showed everyone what we're capable of when all three of them execute consistently. It was a pleasure to watch all three of them rush for over 100 yards in the same game, but they were able to do so by finishing their runs and blocking for each other. The offensive line also contributed greatly to their success, which we're hoping will continue this Friday against Pennridge.”

Sterling Limo SOL National Conference Offensive Player of the Week
Devon Balmer, Pennridge – Balmer rallied the Rams from a 17-7 first half deficit to a season saving 28-17 victory over Central Bucks South.  A loss against the Titans would have eliminated any hopes for a district playoff invitation for Pennridge.  Balmer rushed for a pair of touchdowns – and also threw for a pair of touchdowns – as the talented senior quarterback was involved in all four Ram scores.

Coach Jeff Hollenbach says:  “Devon Balmer has been playing extremely well, especially the past few weeks.  He is seeing the field better and making better and quicker decisions.  Devon is a team leader, and he gives everything he has to help the team perform well.  Against CB South last week, he had two important TD passes and an excellent run to help us come back for a win.”

Sterling Limo National Conference Defensive Player of the Week
Nick Isabella, North Penn – Isabella – a 5-11, 205 pound senior linebacker - spearheaded a strong Knight defensive effort in a key 27-20 victory over Pennsbury.  Isabella recorded an astonishing 14 solo tackles – had two assists – and stopped a huge Falcon 2-point conversion attempt. He also had nine carries for 52 yards and a touchdown.
Coach Dick Beck says: “Our philosophy up front defensively is we like to stunt and take up blocks with the D-tackles, and then we like the linebackers to clean up. He really did an outstanding job of taking on the iso blocks from the lead back, forcing them off the block, and he played sideline to sideline. There were a couple of keeps by the quarterback, and he ran the guy down when he was the last one left to make the tackle. He was a definite force, plus he singlehandedly stopped their two-point conversion when the score was 27-20.”

Sterling Limo SOL American Conference Player of the Week
Branden Mack, Cheltenham – Mack continued his terrific season with a three-touchdown performance in the Panthers 30-14 victory over Wissahickon.   The gifted dual threat senior rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns and also threw a touchdown pass for the winners.  Mack – who plays quarterback at the high school level – will play football next fall at Temple University – position still to be decided.
Coach Joe Gro says:  “Throughout the year, he’s been the only consistency that we’ve had on this team. What he is is beyond what anybody out there can see – he’s an unbelievable teammate. He nurtures his teammates. He’s far superior athletically to anybody on the field, and he doesn’t make anybody feel bad about it. He’s handled it as well as anybody I’ve ever seen handle it. I’ll be yelling at a kid, and he’ll stop me and take the blame for the kid. I’ve been lucky with all my years, but what he does for his teammates is astonishing for me. He’s as quality a young boy as I’ve ever coached.
“He ran for 180 yards as a quarterback on 12 carries. We have some design plays for him, and he makes intelligent decisions on plays he adlibs on. Defensively, he has twice as many tackles as anyone on the team. That’s how important he is.”

Jack Lamb, Central Bucks East – Lamb was involved in all three Patriot scores as CBE defeated Truman 19-7.  Lamb rushed for two scores and passed for a third touchdown.
