The junior running back just keeps putting up dazzling numbers for the Redskins. In last week’s win over Council Rock South, Pollard had 18 carries for 264 yards and four touchdowns..
Coach Mark Schmidt says:  “D’Andre continues to be very efficient and obviously very productive. As expectations have grown throughout the season, he has continued to raise his level of play. This is a credit to D’Andre’s work ethic and practice habits. We are expecting another strong effort on Friday as we get ready for a very tough, physical Bensalem defense.”

Sterling Limousine National Conference Two-Way Player of the Week – Chris Welde, Council Rock North
The junior running back had 15 carries for 93 yards and one touchdown in Rock North’s win over Bensalem. He also had two receptions for 23 yards and one touchdown. On defense, he forced a fumble.
Coach Adam Collachi says:  “Chris is a very smart football player. He is a pleasure to coach. He did a great job for us against Bensalem and scored two very important touchdowns to allow CR North to gain momentum in the game and pull out a 36-10 victory.”

Sterling Limousine National Conference Special Teams Player of the Week – Cole Creighton
In yet another dominating performance by the Redskins, Creighton had a punt return of 39 yards for a touchdown in Neshaminy’s 42-0 win over Council Rock South.
Coach Mark Schmidt says:  “Cole is in his fourth year as our punt returner. He has made a number of big plays in that role throughout his career, and Friday’s return for a touchdown was a turning point in the game. Special Teams are a high priority at Neshaminy. Our ability to make plays in the kicking game impact field position and will be very important as we head down the stretch.”

CONTINENTAL CONFERENCE

Sterling Limousine Continental Conference Two-Way Player of the Game – Luke Berry, North Penn
Berry has been an anchor on both sides of the ball for the Knights. The team’s second leading rusher, he has been an effective blocker at fullback and also has been a force at middle linebacker, and in last week’s 42-21 win over Hatboro-Horsham, he had a team high seven solo tackles and three assisted tackles.
Coach Dick Beck says:  “He only played offense last year, and this year during camp, we had been struggling at inside linebacker, so we moved him inside. He’s really played well for us at that position. Last year, he was very tentative at linebacker. This year he’s more comfortable, he’s reading the plays and getting downhill a little bit more. He’s recognizing the plays a little quicker, so he’s really attacking the play.”

Sterling Limousine Continental Offensive Player of the Week – John O’Malley, Hatboro-Horsham
The junior wide receiver had nine catches for 177 yards and one touchdown in the Hatters’ game against North Penn.

Coach Michael Kapusta says:  “John is a talented two-way player who has shown superb toughness to compliment his athletic ability. Remaining in high academic standing, John is an explosive playmaker on the field and a well-rounded student athlete.”

Sterling Limousine Continental Co-Defensive Players of the Week  - Buddy Zanolini and Connor O’Hanlon, Central Bucks West
It was still anyone’s game when linebacker Buddy Zanolini returned an interception 41 yards for a touchdown. Linebacker Connor O’Hanlon duplicated that feat, returning an interception 55 yards for a touchdown to seal Quakertown’s fate in a 30-10 CB West win.
Coach Brian Hensel says:  “Buddy and Connor have been anchoring our linebacking corps for the first seven games and steadily improving their level of play and helping our defense get better. Connor struggled early in the season but rose to the challenge when we challenged him and has been improving each week. Buddy has stepped up in big games and has been a playmaker for us this season.”

Sterling Limousine Continental Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week – Chris Krier, Central Bucks East
Krier stepped in for an injured player and had a career game in CB East’s win over Souderton, finishing with 10 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery. He also had a rushing TD.
Coach John Donnelly says:  “Chris is one of the hardest working players on the team. He does all of the little things right. He has had playing time throughout the season but has been thrust into more due to injury. He made the most of it on Saturday on both sides of the ball. Chris is a great example of perseverance paying off.”

AMERICAN CONFERENCE

Sterling Limousine American Conference Offensive Player of the Week – Mark Heimann, Cheltenham
The Panthers’ quarterback turned in a monster performance in Cheltenham’s 41-33 loss to Wissahickon. Heimann had 20 carries for 180 yards and four touchdowns. He also threw for 100 yards and one touchdown and helped the Panthers make it a game after falling behind 27-0.

Sterling Limousine American Conference Defensive Player of the Week – Khalil Byrd, Wissahickon
The Trojans’ cornerback had a big game in the Trojans’ win over Cheltenham. He not only had three tackles and an interception for a touchback, he also had a fumble recovery for a touchdown and two pass break-ups.
Coach Jeff Cappa says:  “Khalil is a tremendous athlete. He’s a prolific corner with his size, speed and strength. Khalil is a motivated player and a great leader. He is always pushing himself and his teammates to do better each week. We have no problem putting Khalil on the opponent’s best receivers as our ‘shut down’ corner. Very few teams have success throwing his way. Khalil brings a lot of positives to the football team.”
