STERLING LIMOUSINE AND TRANSPORTATION
PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Sterling Limo Offensive Players of the Game:
First Star:  Dylan Jones, Cheltenham –
The senior quarterback has some huge shoes to fill with the graduation of Branden Mack. Jones, who also plays defensive back, rebounded from a tough outing in the season opener against Central Bucks East to complete 12-of-22 passes for 202 yards and four touchdowns and a two-point conversion. He also had six carries for 22 yards and a touchdown, finishing the game with five TDs and leading the Panthers to 33-29 win over Bishop McDevitt
Coach Joe Gro says: “Dylan played D back for us and was our backup quarterback last year. He got some reps last year – when I didn’t have anybody to throw to, I would bring Dylan in to throw to Branden (Mack). We couldn’t get anything working against Central Bucks East. They beat us in every aspect of the game, and actually, McDevitt played a great game. It might have been the luckiest win for us. Everything revolved around Dylan. McDevitt was being ultra aggressive, and it opened things up a little bit. He hit some really nice passes in the right situations. In the last five or six minutes, he was flawless.  Without him, we’re not winning that game at all, not a chance. He’s a wonderful boy, he works really hard, and he’s a role model.”

Second Star: Justis Henley, North Penn – The junior wide receiver is proving to be the ‘X’ factor for a Knight squad that is 2-0 out of the gate. In North Penn’s 23-7 win over Downingtown East, Henley had eight receptions for 138 yards and a touchdown. He also had an interception on defense.

Third Star: Koby Khan, Souderton – The senior running back is off to a strong start. In Souderton’s 28-10 win over Quakertown, Khan rushed 27 times for 171 yards and two touchdowns.

Sterling Limo Defensive Players of the Game:
First star: Matt Norris & Nate Norris, Central Bucks South –
Senior Nate Norris and sophomore Matt Norris combined for 25 tackles from their linebacker positions – four for losses - in Central Bucks South’s 35-6 win over Council Rock North that saw the Indians manage just 158 yards of total offense. The two brothers also each recorded a sack.
Coach Tom Hetrick says:  "Our defensive line had a nice game, which allowed Matt and Nate to roam freely and find windows to the ball. They both did a great job of filling run lanes that formed, but also made plays from sideline to sideline.  They both have good football instincts, which is a must to be able to play inside linebacker.  They were active and aggressive.  If your two inside LBs lead the team in tackles in any given game, you know that you have had a pretty good defensive team effort.  We had that from our defense on Saturday."

Second star: Mike Glauber, Central Bucks East – The senior linebacker had nine tackles in the Patriots’ 24-6 win over Hatboro-Horsham in a contest that saw the Hatters collect just 120 yards of total offense.

Third star: Eddie Parry, Neshaminy – The senior defensive lineman had eight solo tackles, including one tackle for a loss, and one sack to lead the defense in Neshaminy’s 31-24 win over Pennridge.

Sterling Limo Special Teams Players of the Game:
First star:  Brian Stella, Central Bucks East –
The senior linebacker blocked two punts, and after blocking the second, Stella took it in from six yards out to put the Patriots on top 14-0 on their way to a 24-6 win over Hatboro-Horsham. He rushed for 65 yards and a TD and also had seven tackles.
Coach John Donnelly says:  “Brian continues to be an impact player in all three phases of the game.  He is unselfish and a major competitor.  He does all the little things right and is willing to do some things, especially on special teams, that most people aren’t willing to do.  He gets every ounce of athleticism out of a frame that is not a D1 frame, but he plays like a blue chipper.  His effort and example is rubbing off on many of the underclassmen and that is a great thing!”

Second star:  Dylan McDonald, Neshaminy – For the second week in a row, the ‘Skins senior kicker came up big. In Neshaminy’s 31-24 win over Pennridge, McDonald connected on a 39-yard field goal and was a perfect 4-for-4 on point-after attempts. He had six kickoffs for 334 yards and two touchbacks.

SOL Honor Roll:
Darryl Baldwin, Wissahickon –
The senior running back carried the ball 30 times for 212 yards and three touchdowns in Wissahickon’s 27-21 loss to Central.
Zak Bucksar, Pennsbury – The  6-4, 264-pound senior offensive lineman was a bright spot on offense in the Falcons’ 28-0 loss to La Salle.
Malcolm Carey & Keith Parrish, Bensalem – The duo combined for 183 yards on the ground to lead Bensalem to a 23-17 win over William Tennent, a loss that snapped a 29-game losing streak.
Will Dogba, Neshaminy –The senior running back had another big night, carrying the ball 26 times for 137 yards and two touchdowns. He also had four receptions for 38 yards.
Justin Horn, Upper Dublin –The senior quarterback continues to put up dazzling numbers for the Flying Cardinals, throwing for 322 yards and two touchdowns in Upper Dublin’s 41-0 win over Harry S Truman.
A.J. Sanko, Neshaminy – The senior center anchored Neshaminy’s offensive line in the Redskins’ 31-24 win over Pennridge that saw the ‘Skins put up 420 yards of total offense.
