Univest is sponsoring a Caring for Sports Giveaway, beginning Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, 8 a.m.

For 138 years, Univest has differentiated itself by making it a priority to give back to the communities it serves. As part of our Committed to Local philanthropic giving program, we host a contest four times each year where we turn the tables and use Facebook and Twitter to ask YOU, our customers and community members, which local organization deserves our financial assistance. 

For our third Caring for Community Giveaway of 2014, we have teamed up with Suburban One Sports* to find a local Athletic Department that deserves a $1,000 prize.   

Here's how the contest works:

• Identify a school that has an athletic program that deserves the $1,000 donation.
• Nominate the school by posting a comment on the Univest Facebook pageor tweeting a vote to @UnivestCorp
• The school with the most posts at the end of the contest will win the following:
• $1,000 for the school’s Athletic Department
• A special giveaway for the fantastic fans at a home athletic game or pep rally in October
• A school spirit banner to display at the school

The contest runs from Monday, September 15, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. through Monday, October 6, 2014 at 8:00 a.m.  To be eligible to win the $1,000, the school must be located in the Univest service area of Bucks, Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties and the Lehigh Valley.

Will last year’s winner, Harry S. Truman High School, be able to defend their title?  Good luck to all of the schools!

Univest Corporation’s Caring for Sports Giveaway is open to all legal residents of the United States. Participants may post to the Univest Facebook page or tweet @UnivestCorp the organization they support once per day. The winner will be determined by the most votes, and the school must also meet Univest Corporation’s grant-giving standards and contest rules. We request only one school name per post. The winning school will be contacted via phone or email. The promotion runs from 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2014 through Monday, October 6,  2014 at 8:00 a.m. In the event a winning school cannot be reached and/or does not respond by 5:00 p.m. October 15, 2014, they forfeit the grant to the next school with the most posts. Univest Corporation is not responsible for the organization’s availability or non-response. Univest Corporation reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the contest at any time.
