Sarah Tustin is a four-year varsity player in both field hockey and lacrosse. A captain of both squads, Tustin is a natural leader. “The kids really look up to her,” coach Marie Schmucker said. “When you have a young team, you need great leadership, and she is a great leader.” Tustin is also a gifted player, and she has turned her talents into a lacrosse scholarship to nationally-ranked Vanderbilt University.  “She’s the total package,” Schmucker said. “She’s an intellect, she’s a leader on and off the field, and she is a role model for the underclassmen. She’s a very smart player on the field, and she’s very, very smart in the classroom. She’s a hard worker and is just a great kid.”
Tustin, who takes a full course load of honors and AP classes, boasts a 3.89 GPA (5.99 weighted) and is ranked 13th out of her senior class of 422. She will be undeclared as a freshman but is considering pre-med or possibly political science with a minor in finance.

Univest’s SuburbanOneSports.com Featured Male Athlete (Week of May 3)
Ryan Knouse is a four-year member of the cross country, winter track and spring track teams. He has lettered all four years in each sport and has been a captain for all three teams his senior year. Knouse is one of the district’s elite distance runners. He’s also one of the best to ever lace up their running shoes for the Rams. “Currently, Ryan is the fifth-fastest 3,200 runner in the history of Pennridge,” Rams’ track coach Bob Hosier said. “He’s a leader through his work ethic. Ryan is a very hard worker, he pulls people along with him. He’s not a very vocal leader, but it’s what he does, his actions, that make him a leader.”
Knouse is ranked number one in his class, and this fall he will take his talents to Lehigh University, the recipient of an academic scholarship. While he will enroll as an undeclared business major, he said he will likely major in finance.
