The awards, sponsored by Univest, are given to seniors of good character who are students in good standing that have made significant contributions to their teams. Selections are based on nominations received from coaches, athletic directors and administrators. The Univest Featured Athletes of North Penn and Quakertown received special recognition on Friday, June 3, 2016. Nicole O’Neil, Public Relations and Social Media Manager for Univest, paid a visit to the two schools, presenting certificates of recognition and gift bags to the Univest Featured Athletes at each school.
Seniors recognized at North Penn were Alex Peterson, Georgianna Eck, Emma Herb, Erin O’Neill and Aimee Baur
Seniors recognized at Quakertown were Brett Wolfinger, Olivia Morano, Meghan Klee, Ron Jon Cubbage and Gavin Caroff. Dr. William Harner, Superintendent of Quakertown Community School District, was in attendance at the presentation, which took place in the school’s television studio.
